Collecting every Sunken Shard in +1 Speed Monkey Escape is one of the main objectives if you’re trying to complete the current event. Some shards are hidden in plain sight, while others require risky jumps or are tucked away in easy-to-miss corners of the map.

To save you from wandering around every stage, here’s where you can find all 9 Sunken Shards.

Shard 1 – Behind the Leaderboards

The easiest shard to collect is located right near the game’s starting area.

After spawning into the game, head towards the Leaderboards.

Instead of walking past them, go behind the leaderboard area, where you’ll find the first Sunken Shard waiting for you.

It’s an easy pickup and a good way to start your collection.

Shard 2 – Tree Near the 100+ Speed Area

For the second shard, head towards the area that requires around 100–128 Speed.

Look for a large tree nearby and climb onto it.

The shard is sitting on one of the branches, making it fairly easy to spot once you’re at the correct location.

Shard 3 – Stage 5 Rooftop

Continue progressing until you reach Stage 5.

Once there, climb to the top of the structure in the area.

The third Sunken Shard is sitting on the rooftop and can be collected without too much difficulty.

Shard 4 – Hidden Behind Stage 5

Before moving on to later stages, make sure you grab another hidden shard near Stage 5.

Instead of continuing forward, head behind the structure you recently passed.

You’ll find another Sunken Shard hidden behind the area.

It’s easy to miss if you’re only focusing on moving through the stages.

Shard 5 – Hidden Below the Platform

The fifth shard requires a little sacrifice.

From the nearby platform, carefully drop down to reach the shard below.

Keep in mind that collecting this shard will usually cause your character to fall and be eliminated afterwards.

Don’t worry—the shard still counts once you’ve touched it.

Shard 6 – Stage 6 Shark Area

Once you reach Stage 6, prepare for one of the trickiest shards in the event.

This shard is located near the shark section.

You’ll need to jump down quickly, grab the shard, and accept that you’ll most likely be defeated by the shark immediately afterwards.

Fortunately, the shard is added to your collection the moment you touch it.

Shard 7 – Hidden Corner in Stage 6

Stay in Stage 6 because another shard is hidden nearby.

Look for a wall that you can climb before dropping into a lower section.

After dropping down, check the corner of the area below.

The seventh shard is tucked away here, making it one of the easiest collectibles to overlook.

Shard 8 – Lower Section of Stage 6

The eighth shard is also found within Stage 6.

From the upper path, make your way down into the lower area.

You’ll spot another Sunken Shard waiting there.

Since several shards are grouped around this stage, it’s worth double-checking the area before moving on.

Shard 9 – Tsunami Area

The final Sunken Shard is located near the Tsunami Area.

Continue progressing through the remaining stages until you reach this section.

The shard is visible near the path, making it much easier to find than some of the earlier hidden collectibles.

Once you’ve picked it up, you’ll have collected every Sunken Shard in the game.

Sunken Shard Checklist

If you’re missing one, use this quick checklist:

Shard Location
1 Behind the Leaderboards
2 Tree near the 100–128 Speed area
3 Rooftop in Stage 5
4 Hidden behind the Stage 5 area
5 Below the platform (requires dropping down)
6 Shark section in Stage 6
7 Hidden corner after climbing the wall in Stage 6
8 Lower area of Stage 6
9 Near the Tsunami Area

Tips for Collecting Every Shard

Before setting out to collect all nine shards, keep these tips in mind:

  • Some shards require you to intentionally fall after collecting them.
  • Don’t worry if you die immediately after grabbing a shard—it will still count as collected.
  • Stage 6 contains multiple hidden shards, so search carefully before moving on.
  • If you’re unsure whether you’ve picked one up, revisit the location before finishing your run.

Although there are only nine Sunken Shards to collect, a few of them are hidden well enough that they’re easy to miss on your first playthrough. The Stage 6 area is especially important since it contains several collectibles packed into one section, while the final shard near the Tsunami Area wraps up the collection.

Once you’ve gathered all nine Sunken Shards, you’ll have completed the event’s collectible hunt and won’t need to revisit every stage searching for missed locations.
