If you want to survive longer waves and clear zombie hordes efficiently in Zombie Borderline, choosing the right class matters more than anything else. Some classes are built to melt enemies quickly, while others focus on helping your team stay alive. Understanding which class fits your playstyle can make the difference between getting wiped early or dominating late waves.

Below is a full tier list with clear explanations and practical advice based on how these classes actually perform during gameplay.

S Tier — The Most Powerful Classes

These are the strongest classes in the game right now. They offer the best balance of damage, survivability, and scaling into late waves.

Minigun (600 Gold)
Minigun is easily the most dominant class because it delivers extremely high sustained damage and can shred large zombie groups within seconds. It also comes with a medkit, which helps you stay alive during intense fights. Once you unlock it, wave clearing becomes much easier, especially in mid and late game stages.

From personal experience, if you manage to save enough gold early and buy Minigun quickly, most waves stop feeling dangerous because you can control enemy crowds so efficiently.

Gunslinger (350 Gold, VIP/Elite)
Gunslinger is a fast, aggressive class that deals high burst damage thanks to dual-wield weapons. It performs extremely well against fast waves and is a great choice for players who prefer a more mobile playstyle.

Compared to Minigun, it costs less and becomes powerful earlier, making it one of the best early-to-mid game investments.

Elite Guard (30 Gold)
Elite Guard is the best budget class in the game. It costs very little but provides strong defensive power and scales surprisingly well over time. It can hold early waves alone, which allows you to save gold for stronger classes later.

Many players underestimate this class, but in reality, it’s one of the smartest early-game choices because it helps you build momentum quickly.

A Tier — Strong but Situational

These classes are powerful and reliable, but they usually perform best in specific situations rather than dominating every scenario.

Breaker (200 Gold)
Breaker specializes in close-range combat and uses shotgun-style attacks to deal massive burst damage to clustered zombies. It performs extremely well in tight spaces but struggles against enemies that stay at long range.

It is particularly useful in maps where zombies spawn in narrow paths.

Ranger (125 Gold)
Ranger provides steady and consistent ranged damage from a safe distance. It doesn’t deal the highest damage, but it remains reliable throughout most waves.

This class works well for players who prefer safer positioning and steady performance rather than risky close combat.

Bomber (125 Gold)
Bomber excels at area damage and can clear large zombie groups using explosives. It is very effective when enemies spawn closely together, making it a strong support damage class.

However, it requires good timing to maximize its impact.

B Tier — Support-Oriented Classes

These classes are useful but rely heavily on teamwork and strategy.

Medic (125 Gold)
Medic is a team-focused utility class that specializes in healing allies and helping squads survive longer waves. It plays a critical role in coordinated team runs because it extends overall team endurance during intense fights. However, it deals very low damage and becomes less impactful in late waves, which makes it unsuitable for solo gameplay.

In team matches, having a Medic can sometimes be the reason your squad survives the hardest waves.

Best Class Strategy for Beginners

If you are just starting out, the smartest progression path is:

  1. Buy Elite Guard early to survive initial waves easily.
  2. Save gold quickly while defending.
  3. Upgrade into Gunslinger or Minigun for major power spikes.

This strategy ensures steady progress without wasting gold.

Best Solo Class

For solo players, Minigun is the clear winner. Its high damage output and survivability tools allow you to handle large zombie waves without relying on teammates.

Best Team Setup

A strong team usually includes:

  • One main DPS class (Minigun or Gunslinger)
  • One defensive frontline (Elite Guard)
  • One support damage class (Ranger or Bomber)
  • One healer (Medic)

This combination provides the perfect balance between damage and survival.

Zombie Borderline is heavily focused on smart class selection and efficient gold management. High-DPS classes dominate the current meta, but support classes still play an important role in team survival. Players who focus on upgrading strategically and choosing the right class for each situation will progress much faster than those who rely on random picks.
