The latest update for Volleyball Legends has officially arrived, bringing Season 13 and a new St. Patrick’s themed event. Update 61 introduces several gameplay and system changes, along with new bundles, limited-time events, and a revised ban policy. With free spins, boosted drop rates, and seasonal rewards available, this update offers plenty of opportunities for both new and returning players to earn rare styles and abilities.

This guide explains everything included in the update and how players can take advantage of the limited-time bonuses.

Season 13: St. Patrick’s Season Overview

Season 13 introduces a St. Patrick’s themed season filled with new items and rewards. Players who participated in ranked matches during the previous season should already see their ranked rewards distributed.

The new season includes a variety of themed cosmetics and items that players can unlock by playing matches and progressing through the season. These seasonal items will remain available for a limited time, as the season is scheduled to last four weeks before ending on April 11.

Because seasons reset ranking progress, the early weeks of a season are often the best time to climb the ladder. Many competitive players recommend starting ranked matches as early as possible to secure higher placements before matchmaking becomes more competitive later in the season.

Map Changes in Update 61

Update 61 also introduces adjustments to some in-game maps. While the changes are not complete redesigns, they focus on improving overall gameplay flow and positioning during matches.

Players may notice slightly altered court layouts, improved spacing for movement, and adjustments that affect blocking and spiking angles. These tweaks are intended to make matches feel smoother and more balanced during competitive play.

For players aiming to perform well in ranked matches, it can be helpful to spend a few games in casual modes to get familiar with the new positioning and angles before entering competitive queues.

Mini Ones Mode Remains Available

One of the more popular limited-time modes from the previous season was Mini Ones, and developers have decided to keep it available due to positive feedback from players.

Mini Ones focuses on smaller matches that highlight individual skill, reaction time, and positioning. Because matches are quicker and more focused, many players use this mode to improve mechanics such as timing blocks and reading opponents.

Developers have also confirmed that top players in Mini Ones will receive rewards later in the week, encouraging continued participation in the mode.

New Bundles Available in the Shop

Update 61 introduces two new cosmetic bundles that players can obtain in the in-game store.

The first is the John Doe Bundle, which includes a John Doe score effect along with a matching title. This bundle is limited in quantity, with only 10,000 copies available, meaning it may sell out once enough players purchase it.

The second addition is the :3 Bundle. This bundle includes a :3 score effect and a :3 themed player card, offering players another way to customize their profile and match visuals.

While these bundles do not affect gameplay performance, they provide new cosmetic options for players who enjoy personalizing their characters and score effects.

Ban Policy Changes Explained

Another significant change in Update 61 is the revision of the game’s ban policy.

Previously, players who used injection programs or software that modified the game could receive immediate permanent bans. However, the developers recognized that some players use similar tools for purposes such as improving performance or increasing frame rates.

Under the new policy, the game now uses a two-strike system. Players who inject programs that modify the game will still be banned, as the behavior remains against the rules. However, the first offense will now typically result in a temporary ban rather than an immediate permanent ban.

If the same behavior occurs again, a permanent ban may follow. The developers stated that this approach gives players a second chance if they were unaware of the rules or forgot to disable certain programs before playing.

Some players who were recently banned may also notice that their ban has been converted into a temporary ban that will end next week. This adjustment reflects the implementation of the new policy. An updated unban request form is also expected to be released soon.

2x Lucky Event Details

One of the biggest highlights of Update 61 is the limited-time 2x Lucky Event.

This event runs from March 14 at 11:30 AM ET until March 16 at 11:30 AM ET, giving players a 48-hour window to take advantage of improved spin rates.

During the event, two major changes apply to lucky spins. The secret pity requirement is reduced from 200 spins to 100 spins, making it significantly easier to guarantee rare rewards. In addition, the drop rate for secret styles and abilities is doubled, increasing from 0.5 percent to 1 percent.

Because both the pity system and drop rates are improved, this event is widely considered the best time for players to use their saved spins in hopes of obtaining rare or secret abilities.

Free Lucky Spin Handout Event

Alongside the 2x Lucky Event, players will also receive free lucky spins during a special handout period.

The spin distribution runs on March 14 from 10:30 AM ET to 12:30 PM ET. During this time, players receive spins every ten minutes.

In total, players can obtain up to twelve lucky spins during the event window. Logging into the game during this period is necessary to collect them.

These free spins can then be used during the 2x Lucky Event, giving players an additional opportunity to obtain rare styles or abilities.

New Redeem Codes in Update 61

Update 61 also includes several new redeemable codes that provide additional lucky spins.

Players can currently redeem the following codes:

UPDATE_61 – grants five Lucky Style Spins
SEASON_13 – grants five Lucky Style Spins
STPATRICKS_DAY – grants five Lucky Ability Spins

Redeeming these codes early is recommended, as game codes in Volleyball Legends sometimes expire after a limited time.

Best Strategy for Update 61

Players looking to maximize the rewards available in Update 61 should start by redeeming all available codes and collecting the free spins from the handout event. Saving those spins for the 2x Lucky Event can significantly increase the chances of obtaining rare styles or abilities.

It is also a good idea to begin playing ranked matches early in Season 13 while matchmaking is still settling. Players interested in improving their skills can spend time in Mini Ones mode to practice reaction speed and positioning.

With boosted drop rates, free spins, seasonal rewards, and new cosmetics available, Update 61 provides several incentives for players to jump back into Volleyball Legends and start grinding the new season.
