Volleyball Legends Update 14 is here, and it’s a game-changer. Whether you’re a seasoned setter or a fresh face on the court, this patch introduces massive changes that are bound to shake up your gameplay. Let’s break it down step by step.
Volleyball Legends Update 14 – Shield Breaker, Block Rework & Codes
New Secret Ability: Shield Breaker
“BREAK Through blocks, jumpsets and spikes!”
Shield Breaker is a powerful new secret ability that adds serious depth to high-level plays. Here’s how it works:
When the ball is hit using this ability and it encounters a block, it slows down instead of bouncing back immediately.
If there’s a second blocker spaced far enough apart, they’ll be able to interact with the slowed ball—which opens up strategic plays.
It forces you to coordinate with ground teammates, making team setups more crucial than ever.
Steel Block fully counters this ability, so pick your battles carefully!
This ability adds a whole new layer of mind games in 2v2 and competitive matches. Mastering it could be the difference between a win and a whiff.
Block Rework
Blocks have been completely overhauled in Update 14, and the changes are more than just tweaks—they completely shift how blocking works across the board.
Now, tilting your block matters a lot more. Forward tilts can create powerful shutdown blocks, especially if your character has strong block stats. Every character has had their block performance rebalanced, and even characters with a “slight nerf” might still feel better overall because blocks are just that much more effective now.
Here’s how each character was affected:
- Kuzee got a slight nerf to blocking, but nothing that makes them unusable.
- Azamena took a block nerf, though their spike got a slight buff to compensate.
- Sagafura received a buff to block, making them more reliable at the net.
- Iwaezeni got a block nerf, so you may feel less consistency in block coverage.
- Kosumi received a block buff, giving them better control in defense.
- Saguwuru was given a slight buff to their block stats—noticeable but not game-breaking.
- Butoku got a nerf, so you might want to avoid relying on them for tight blocking plays.
- Haibo received a big buff—this one’s now a real threat near the net.
- Ojiri had their block nerfed, but their spike got a buff for better offense.
- Sanu also got a block nerf, which might require you to reposition more carefully.
- Tonoko was hit with a block nerf as well as serve nerf, but got slight buffs to both spike and jump—aimed at making them more balanced.
- Kito got a block buff, making them more effective as a defensive pick.
- Yamegushi received a slight buff to their block—it adds a bit of consistency.
- Yomomute got a big block nerf, but their jump was slightly buffed, offering more mobility.
- Timeskip Hinoto didn’t get block changes, but had a charge speed buff and a slight speed nerf.
- Kagayomo received a slight buff to block, keeping them solid in both offense and defense.
- Oigawa also got a slight block buff, improving their overall defensive performance.
- Uchishima took a block nerf, so you’ll need to play smarter at the net.
- Nichonayo received a slight block buff—a small but welcome improvement.
