Verse Piece recently dropped its much-anticipated Bleach update, introducing Ichigo Kurosaki from the Thousand-Year Blood War (TYBW) arc. Though the update was originally planned to release both Ichigo and Yhwach, only Ichigo has arrived so far. Yhwach’s arrival is expected in the coming days.
This guide will walk you through how to obtain Ichigo, showcase his abilities, and offer insights into the gameplay experience with this new unit.
How to Obtain Ichigo
To start your journey with Ichigo, you first need to locate the new NPC found in Kakura Town. This NPC is your gateway to summoning the Ichigo boss fight.
Boss Summoning Requirements:
- Defeat 25 Arrancars
- Defeat 25 Quincies
- Defeat 25 Vasto Lords
Once these mobs are defeated, the Ichigo boss will spawn. The cool part here is that you can overkill these mobs and spawn Ichigo repeatedly without waiting, enabling back-to-back boss fights.
Drop Chance & Rewards:
- Ichigo’s boss has a 1% chance to drop the Tensor Requiem — the crucial item needed to obtain Ichigo.
- There is also a chance to get a new accessory from the boss.
The grind to collect the Tensor Requiem is pretty straightforward but can be time-consuming because of the low drop rate, so patience is key.
Ichigo Showcase & Abilities
Once you acquire Ichigo, here’s what you can expect:
Moveset:
- Ichigo has 4 moves.
- He features a Transformation Mode that buffs all his attacks.
- This mode also replaces his V move with Grand Race Zero, which can be held down for continuous effect.
Visuals & Animation:
- The visual effects (VFX) are solid and fitting for the character.
- The animations are decent, though nothing groundbreaking.
Gameplay:
- The transformation mode adds a nice layer of power and strategy, boosting your damage output.
- The holding mechanic on the V move adds flexibility in combat.
While Ichigo’s addition is exciting, the update overall feels a bit underwhelming for fans. The update only includes Ichigo and delays the release of Yhwach, leaving the content somewhat sparse. This led to mixed feelings in the community, especially considering the high expectations from the Bleach update.
Still, the grind is simple, and Ichigo’s kit is fun to play with. It’s a good starting point for the Bleach-themed content, and we can hope for better improvements and more characters in future updates.
