Sun Breathing stands out as one of the most iconic and powerful breathing styles in Weak Legacy 2, and unlocking it is no simple task. It requires progression, rare items, boss fights, and dedication. With Update 4.5, the process is mostly the same, but a few new systems—like level scaling and UI updates—make the journey smoother (or more punishing if you’re not ready).
This How to Unlock Sun Breathing V1 & V2 in Weak Legacy 2 walks you through everything you need to unlock Sun Breathing Version 1, upgrade it to Version 2, and unlock its final skill, while accounting for changes introduced in Update 4.5.
Requirements to Start:
Before anything, make sure you meet these:
- Level 50+
- 100,000 Yen
- 1 Sun Soul
- No other breathing currently equipped
Important (Update 4.5):
PvP is now disabled below level 300. While this doesn’t block Sun Breathing quests, it offers protection while farming early bosses and items.
Step 1: Get a Sun Soul
You’ll need a Sun Soul item to begin learning Sun Breathing. Here’s how to get it:
How to Get the Sun Soul:
- Travel to the Tanjiro Boss Raid location (shown in the video).
- Defeat Tanjiro in the boss raid.
- Upon killing him, you have a chance to receive 1 Sun Soul as a drop.
Tip: If you don’t get the drop the first time, you’ll need to repeat the raid. It’s not guaranteed.
Step 2: Remove Your Current Breathing (If Any)
You must not have any other breathing style active when trying to learn Sun Breathing. There are two main ways to reset:
Option 1: Use a Code
Use the code provided in the update (if still active):
"UPD5RESETBREATHINGORART"
If expired, use the second method.
Option 2: Use a Reset Potion
Location: Potion seller (location shown in video)
Cost:
- 1 Crystal Essence (obtained from the 25-wave dungeon)
- 500,000 Yen
Alternatively, if you’re willing to spend Robux, there’s a pay-to-reset option in the village, though it’s not recommended for most players.
Step 3: Learn Sun Breathing V1
Once you have your Sun Soul and breathing is reset:
- Go to Trainer Yori (location shown in the video).
- Talk to him to learn Sun Breathing V1.
Requirements:
- Level 50+
- 100,000 Yen
- 1 Sun Soul
After this, you’ll officially have access to Sun Breathing, but only its base moves. The final skill must be unlocked separately.
Step 4: Unlock the Final Skill (V1)
To unlock the last move of Sun Breathing V1, you must:
- Defeat Tanjiro Sun Boss
Boss Location:
- Found near the Kokushibo spawn area, along a path past Upper Moon Demon Rui.
Drop Chance:
- The final skill isn’t guaranteed after one kill. You may need to farm the boss multiple times until the move unlocks.
Step 5: Upgrade to Sun Breathing V2
Once you’ve unlocked all Sun Breathing V1 skills and reached 200 mastery in Sun Breathing, you become eligible for Sun Breathing V2.
How to Unlock V2:
- Return to Trainer Yori.
- Initiate a 1v1 battle against Yori himself.
- Win the duel to unlock Sun Breathing Version 2.
This is a test of both mechanical skill and mastery, so make sure your build is ready before you challenge him.
Step 6: Unlock the Final V2 Skill
After unlocking V2, there’s still one last ability to claim:
- You must defeat Yori’s Half Form boss.
Drop Chance:
- The final V2 skill has a 63% chance to drop after defeating Yori (Half Form).
- Keep farming if it doesn’t drop the first time.
This skill is what fully completes the Sun Breathing line, so it’s worth grinding.
Update 4.5 Notes
UI Rework: Finding locations like the boss spawns and potion seller is easier with the cleaner interface.
PvP Disabled Under Level 300: Gives breathing learners safer time to farm without being attacked.
Improved Hit Indicator: Helps during boss fights (like Tanjiro Sun or Yori) to track damage more accurately.
Unlocking Sun Breathing in Weak Legacy 2 is a rewarding process that demands time, resource management, and boss fighting skill. With Update 4.5 smoothing out the UI and protecting lower-level players from PvP harassment, the path to mastering one of the most powerful breathing styles in the game is more approachable than ever.
