This STALKER Shadow of Chornobyl Enhanced Edition Achievement guide is meant to help you unlock every achievement in the game, including hidden and cumulative ones, while still preserving the essence of exploration and atmosphere that makes the Zone so special.

STALKER Shadow of Chornobyl Enhanced Edition Achievement Guide

Important Tips:

  • Manual Saves: Use them often. Many achievements can be missed without rollback options.

  • Point of No Return: Once the Brain Scorcher is disabled, there’s no turning back. Save here if you plan to mop up missed achievements.

  • First Playthrough? Focus on immersion, not achievements. Let yourself get lost in the lore and atmosphere of the Zone.

  • Achievement “Ledeng of the Zone”: Unlocks after completing all other achievements.

Difficulty Level Achievements

Achievement Description
Sidorovich’s apprentice Complete the game on Novice.
In the Zone! Complete the game on Stalker.
S.U.R.V.I.V.E.D. Beat the game on Veteran or Master. (Tip: Change difficulty just before interacting with the Wish Granter to earn this easily.)
Lore Achievements

These are story progression achievements and mostly unmissable, but some require attention:

You’re finally awake… – Just start the game.

The Man cave – Reach Strelok’s hideout.

Lab Rat – Escort Kruglov to Yantar for brain protection.

Get out of here, Stalker – Follow the Guide after handing over X-16 documents.

Follow your steps – Meet the Doctor at Strelok’s hideout.

Knock-Knock – Get the decoder in Pripyat after talking to the Doctor.

The Wish Granter – Reach and make a wish.

Stoic – Use the decoder to access the true ending path.

Too good to be true – Refuse joining the C-Consciousness.

I’m all but certain it was… – Briefly teleport to Sidorovich before the ending.

Explorer of the Zone – Finish the main story.

Cumulative Achievements

These require repetitive actions:

Achievement Description
Bread-expert Eat 25 breads. (Loot from bodies, save/load trick works.)
I’m done with drinking for good Drink 25 vodkas. (Bandit base in Dark Valley has 30+ bottles.)
Killer Kill 500 stalkers.
Hunting season Kill 250 mutants.
Your dogstiny Sell 20 dog tails. (Farm blind dogs in Garbage/Cordon.)
Chornobyl safari Kill each mutant type at least once. (See full list in guide.)
Secondary Achievements

These require specific decisions or side quest completions:

The worst stalker in the Zone – Kill Tolik after meeting him.

A decent start – Save Tolik with a medkit instead.

Law and Order – Save Yurik in the Garbage.

No Loner stands alone – Defend Bes from a bandit attack.

Headhunter – Talk to the friendly deserter in the swamp (Agroprom).

The last mammoth in the Zone – Buy a unique gun for 800 rubles at the farm.

Meet the creator – Find the dev photo room in X-18 lab.

Explore and protect – Rescue and escort Kruglov to Yantar.

Sentry – Help Fanatic eliminate mercs north of Rookie Village.

Gladiator – Win all rounds in the Bar Arena (need high rank).

Freedom vs. Duty – Join either faction through their questlines.

The Door Vinci Code – Open a hidden door at Radar using code 1287975.

Anomalies & Artifacts Achievements

These reward exploration and experimentation:

  • Garland – Equip 5 artifacts at once.

  • Boltman – Die to 5 different anomalies (radiation counts).

  • Party on the beach – Equip these “beach-themed” artifacts:

    • Jellyfish

    • Sparkler (from electro-anomalies between midnight–5am)

    • Urchin (Agroprom underground)

    • Goldfish (Yantar stairs before X-16)

    • Night Star (Monolith base)

Track Progress: Use your PDA regularly to monitor ranks, mutant kills, and quests.

  • Don’t Rush: Most achievements blend naturally into the game world. Explore every building, talk to everyone, and loot smartly.

  • Save Smart: Always keep a backup before key plot decisions or area transitions.
