The latest Commander Raid update in Solo Hunters finally introduced the long-teased Igoras boss fight, along with some extra systems that quietly slipped into the game. On paper, this update is pretty simple — a new raid, some new gear, and a couple of progression tweaks. In reality though, it’s one of the most demanding endgame additions the game has had so far, especially if you prefer playing solo.
Here’s a complete breakdown of everything added, how the raid works, where to find it, and what you should realistically expect before jumping in.
New Code (Free Gems)
Before doing anything else, redeem the new code:
Code: cursed commander
Reward: 750 Gems
It’s a small bonus, but useful since the new raid demands heavy preparation, and gems help with rerolls and upgrades.
Empowered Gates (New XP Farming Method)
One of the quiet but extremely impactful additions is the new Empowered Gates, also called gold gates.
These randomly spawn across the map and function like normal gates but with two major differences: they last much longer, and they reward an enormous amount of XP. Even mid-tier empowered gates can give tens of millions of XP in a single run.
They don’t show notifications when they spawn, which means you’ll usually just stumble across them while exploring. Because of this, players trying to level efficiently should keep roaming the map instead of waiting in one place.
These gates respawn roughly every fifteen minutes, making them one of the best leveling methods currently available.
AFK Time Machine (Hidden Gem Farming Method)
Another system many players missed is the Time Machine, which acts as a passive AFK reward generator.
Sitting inside gives you:
- At least one gem per minute
- A small chance to obtain class rerolls
- Better rewards if you have more friends in the server
It resets automatically, meaning you don’t need auto-clickers, making it especially useful for mobile players or anyone who wants passive progression.
Igoras Raid Location
The new raid is located inside a cave near a coastal area marked by a distinctive hexagon structure on the map.
To access the boss:
- Travel to the coastal diamond-shaped cove area.
- Enter the cave inside the region.
- Complete a short trial by interacting with a prompt.
- After finishing, the raid gate unlocks deeper inside the cave.
Once unlocked, the gate remains accessible even if you change servers, which is a huge quality-of-life feature.
Level Requirement (Very Important)
This raid is strictly endgame content.
Players below roughly 400k power should not attempt it. The boss damage, defense scaling, and mechanics make it almost impossible for under-geared characters.
This isn’t a “hard but doable” situation — it’s genuinely designed for late-game players.
Igoras Boss Mechanics
The fight consists of two major phases.
Phase One
Igoras starts with multiple health bars and uses aggressive melee attacks, including dash slashes and rapid strikes. The goal here is simple survival while steadily dealing damage.
This phase is manageable if you have strong gear and mobility.
Phase Two (Where Things Get Rough)
Once Igoras reaches around half health, he enters Phase Two and fully heals.
This phase adds:
- Increased defense
- Higher damage output
- Faster movement
- Sword traps that lock player movement
These sword traps must be destroyed quickly, or they’ll leave you vulnerable to heavy attacks.
This phase is the main reason solo players struggle — the full heal combined with defense scaling makes the fight extremely long.
Best Strategy to Beat Igoras
Mobility and survivability matter far more than raw damage.
Weapons like the Scythe are highly recommended because they provide invincibility frames during abilities. Large AoE skills also help clear sword traps quickly while allowing constant movement.
If playing solo, success depends heavily on preparation and perfect execution.
Raid Scaling in Groups
The raid allows up to 22 players.
However, it does not scale by increasing boss health. Instead, Igoras’ defense increases with more players, reducing overall damage dealt.
This makes group runs slower but safer, while solo runs remain faster but extremely risky.
Raid Drops and Rates
Igoras drops four main items:
- Sword (1% drop rate)
- Helmet (2%)
- Chestplate (2%)
- Leggings (2%)
Realistically, this means:
- Around 50 runs for a single armor piece on average
- Around 100 runs for the weapon
Getting a full shiny set can easily require dozens of hours of grinding.
Raid Cooldown and Respawn Limits
After defeating Igoras, there is a cooldown before the raid can be started again. You cannot repeatedly farm him back-to-back.
There is also a controversial mechanic where players may need premium currency to instantly respawn the boss.
Camera Shake Toggle
One small but welcome quality-of-life addition is the ability to disable camera shake, which makes long raid fights much easier on the eyes.
Biggest Issues with the Update
The raid itself is visually impressive and mechanically engaging, but several factors make it frustrating:
The full health regeneration in Phase Two dramatically extends fights. Combined with increased defense scaling, this turns solo attempts into extremely long endurance battles.
There is also almost nothing new for early-game players, making the update feel exclusive to only the strongest characters.
Finally, the long cooldowns and low drop rates make farming feel slow and grind-heavy.
The Igoras raid is clearly designed as a hardcore endgame challenge. It looks fantastic, feels intense, and requires genuine preparation, but it also highlights the growing gap between early-game and late-game content.
For max-level players, it offers a difficult but rewarding grind. For everyone else, it’s more of a long-term goal than something to attempt immediately.
If you’re planning to take it on solo, expect long fights, perfect dodging, and a lot of patience.
