In Slayerbound, clans are not just cosmetic tags or minor stat bonuses — they fundamentally shape how your entire character plays. Your clan determines passive boosts, combat traits, progression speed, and sometimes even how strong certain breathing styles become later in the game. Because of that, getting a good clan early can dramatically change how fast you progress through bosses, raids, and PvP fights.
There are currently sixteen clans in the game, all divided into rarity tiers that range from extremely common to ultra-rare legendary families. The rarer a clan is, the more specialized and powerful its bonuses tend to be, but that doesn’t always mean they’re automatically better for every playstyle. Some common clans still offer reliable perks that make early progression much smoother.
This tier list ranks clans based on overall usefulness across PvE grinding, boss raids, and competitive PvP performance.
S Tier
These clans sit at the very top because they offer huge combat advantages with almost no downsides. If you roll one of these, you usually build your entire character around it.
Kamado
Kamado is widely considered the strongest clan in Slayerbound right now. Its main strength lies in breathing synergy — it boosts breathing efficiency, stamina usage, and form damage. This makes it incredibly powerful when paired with high-tier breathing styles like Sun or Moon. Players using Kamado can chain abilities longer than most others, which leads to overwhelming sustained damage during boss fights and PvP duels.
Sujakuni
Sujakuni excels in raw combat power. It provides a mix of offensive buffs, survivability boosts, and resistance bonuses that make it feel extremely well-rounded. Unlike Kamado, which relies on breathing synergy, Sujakuni simply makes your character stronger in almost every scenario. It’s especially dominant in open-world raids because of its ability to handle both mobs and bosses efficiently.
Ubuyashiki
This clan focuses less on direct combat and more on overall progression and team utility. It increases experience gain, improves party buffs, and enhances leadership bonuses. While it doesn’t deal huge damage, it’s extremely valuable for long-term progression and cooperative gameplay.
A Tier
These clans offer powerful bonuses but usually lean toward specific playstyles.
Himejima
Himejima is one of the best defensive clans in the game. It significantly boosts durability, damage reduction, and stamina recovery. Players using heavy weapons or tank builds benefit the most from it, especially in high-difficulty raids.
Rengoku
Rengoku focuses on explosive damage output. It enhances flame abilities and burst attacks, making it ideal for aggressive PvP playstyles. Its main drawback is a lack of defensive bonuses.
Uzui
Uzui improves speed, evasion, and sound-based abilities. It works best for fast combat styles that rely on mobility and quick strikes rather than sustained fights.
Iguro
Iguro provides strong control bonuses, improving status effects and debuffs. It’s particularly useful for players who rely on crowd control tactics.
B Tier
These clans are reliable and useful for most players but don’t stand out in any specific area.
Shinazugawa
This clan boosts rage mechanics and attack scaling. It’s strong in aggressive builds but lacks survivability, which can make it risky in harder content.
Tomioka
Tomioka enhances water-style abilities and range control. It performs well in PvE but is slightly weaker in PvP where burst damage matters more.
Mitsuri
Mitsuri offers charm and support buffs that improve team performance. It’s better suited for cooperative play rather than solo progression.
Kocho
Kocho specializes in poison effects and healing bonuses. It’s useful for sustained fights but struggles against burst-heavy enemies.
C Tier
These clans are mostly useful during the early stages of the game and are often replaced later.
Haganezuka
Haganezuka is very common and primarily boosts weapon durability and basic sword stats. It’s great for beginners but doesn’t scale well into late game.
Suri
Suri provides poison bonuses that help early demon fights feel easier, but the damage falls off in endgame content.
Agatsuma
Agatsuma enhances lightning damage but lacks versatility, making it situational.
Hashibira
Hashibira focuses on aggressive melee combat but offers little defensive support.
D Tier
These clans generally offer minimal bonuses and are usually rerolled quickly.
They provide small stat boosts without meaningful synergy or scaling benefits, making them unsuitable for serious progression.
Clan Rarity and Spin Strategy
Clans are obtained through the spin system, and rarity plays a huge role in how often you’ll see each one. Common clans dominate the spin pool, meaning players often need dozens of rerolls before landing an epic or legendary clan.
Because of this, many players save spin codes before attempting to reroll. Using multiple codes at once significantly increases the chance of obtaining a high-tier clan.
Best Clan and Breathing Style Combos
Certain clans become dramatically stronger when paired with specific breathing styles.
Kamado paired with Sun Breathing creates one of the highest damage builds in the game, allowing near-constant ability chaining. Sujakuni works best with Moon Breathing due to its raw stat bonuses, which amplify already powerful attacks. Defensive clans like Himejima pair well with Stone or Wind breathing styles for tank-focused gameplay.
