How to Unlock Frieren Spec

Frieren is a high-tier magic spec that requires you to gather specific materials and craft an item called the Old Staff.

Required Materials:

• 5x Magic Ore
• 3x Soul Wood
• Flame Grimoires (used later in the questline)

Step-by-Step Process:

1. Farm the Materials
   • Magic Ore spawns inside the cave near Muzan.
   • Soul Wood spawns inside Hueco Mundo.
   • Flame Grimoires are dropped from random crates throughout the map.
2. Craft the Old Staff
   • Once you have 5 Magic Ore and 3 Soul Wood, use the crafting system to build the Old Staff.
3. Use the Old Staff on a Standless Character
   • Equip no stand.
   • Use the Old Staff to receive the Novice Mage spec.

At this point, you will begin the Novice Mage questline, which eventually leads to Frieren’s full potential.

To continue progressing and unlock advanced magic abilities, you’ll need to complete quests given by the Arch Mage NPC, located near Mambo Beach.

Quest 1: Strength Training

To complete this stage, you must:

• Defeat 10 Hollows using Novice Mage
• Defeat 10 Curses using Novice Mage
• Collect 5 Sukuna Fingers
• Submit 5 Flame Grimoires

Quest 2: Golem Challenge

After finishing the strength training, talk to the Arch Mage again. The next quest requires you to:

• Defeat 3 Golems using Novice Mage
• Submit 2 more Flame Grimoires

Once both quests are completed, you will have full access to the power tied to Frieren or the upgraded mage paths.
