Sailor Piece Gilgamesh Guide – How to Get Him & Moves

When the Fate update dropped in Sailor Piece, I’ll be honest — I didn’t expect Gilgamesh to feel this strong. Usually with hype characters you get flashy effects but mid performance. This one’s different. The moment I tested his skills, I immediately understood why everyone started farming the boss island non-stop.

He’s not just another melee you unlock and forget about. Getting him takes effort, but once you finally craft everything and land the race requirement, he feels like one of those “endgame identity” characters that actually changes how you play.

So if you’re thinking about going for him, here’s exactly how the whole process works — and what you should expect before committing to the grind.

Where to Find the Gilgamesh NPC

You won’t stumble into him randomly. The Gilgamesh seller NPC is located on Boss Island, which means you’ll already need to be at the stage where you can comfortably farm boss content.

Once you reach the NPC, you’ll see the full requirement list, and this is where most players realize this isn’t a quick unlock.

To obtain Gilgamesh, you need:

  • The Golden King title
  • 12 Throne Remnants
  • 6 Ancient Shards
  • 3 Golden Essence
  • 1 Fantasm Core

Every one of those materials comes from the new Gilgamesh boss drops, so there’s no shortcut route here. It’s a straight farming grind.

Unlocking His Final Move

Getting the weapon isn’t the end. His F move requires a separate unlock item called the Babylon Key, which honestly surprised me the first time I saw it.

To craft that key, you’ll need:

  • 100 Broken Swords
  • 5 Golden Essence
  • 2 Fantasm Cores

That 100 Broken Swords requirement is the one that slows most people down. They drop from NPCs and bosses, and stronger enemies have a higher drop rate, so you’ll want to farm tougher fights rather than weaker mobs.

The Race Requirement Most People Miss

This part trips up a lot of players.

You must have the Servant Race to use Gilgamesh. It’s a mythic-rarity race, meaning you’ll only get it through race rerolls. There’s no guaranteed method, and it doesn’t show up in the guaranteed NPC.

So before you even think about crafting everything, make sure you actually have that race. Otherwise you’ll end up holding all the materials with no way to equip him.

How to Spawn the Gilgamesh Boss

The boss doesn’t appear automatically. You need a Divine Grail to spawn him on Boss Island.

Each Divine Grail is crafted using 5 Broken Swords, which again explains why that material is so important in this update. You’ll constantly need it for both spawning and unlocking abilities.

Broken Swords drop from NPCs and bosses, and the stronger the enemy, the higher the drop chance.

So realistically, most of your time during this update is spent farming Broken Swords and running boss spawns repeatedly.

Why Everyone Says He’s “Insanely Good”

Once I finally unlocked Gilgamesh and tested him, the first thing I noticed was the damage consistency. Even with only average artifacts, the damage output already felt high.

The creator even mentioned their artifact setup wasn’t maxed, and the DPS could go much higher with better builds.

He’s one of those characters where:

  • Skills hit fast
  • Damage stacks quickly
  • Boss farming becomes noticeably faster

He’s not just flashy — he actually speeds up grinding, which is why so many players rushed to farm him.

There’s a small tip that gets mentioned quietly, but it matters.

When farming the boss repeatedly, players use what they call the pity method, basically running consistent boss rotations to maximize drop chances instead of spreading farming across different enemies.

It’s less about luck and more about repetition. The more consistently you spawn and kill the Gilgamesh boss, the faster those rare materials start appearing.

Small Quality-of-Life Changes in the Update

Not everything in the update was about Gilgamesh. One change that actually felt really convenient was being able to switch titles and storage slots directly from the inventory, instead of traveling to NPCs.

It sounds minor, but once you get used to it, it saves a surprising amount of time.
