Choosing a fighting style in Ryujin can be overwhelming, especially with how unique each one feels. Whether you’re all about speed, combos, damage, or just want something that feels right, this guide will walk you through the current Ryujin Style Tier List for all available styles and help you figure out which one fits you best.
S-Tier
TaeKwonDo (Tyondo)
Why it’s OP: Insane combos, amazing damage, and great range.
Key Tip: Height matters here. Since this style relies heavily on kicks, being taller than 6 ft gives you a huge advantage in hitboxes and reach.
Best For: Players who want a combo-heavy, range-focused playstyle and are okay spending money on height rerolls.
Raian
Why it’s OP: Insane speed and combo potential. Even with low agility, it feels stupidly fast.
Bonus: It has a form and strong barrage moves, counters, and grabs.
Best For: Agility grinders and speed demons who like quick hits and stylish pressure.
Kara
Why it’s OP: Balanced all-around with great combos and damage. Recently buffed with a 5-move set.
Note: Lost its hyper armor, but still performs well.
Best For: Players who want versatility without any stat-heavy requirements.
A-Tier
Boxing
Why it’s Good: Works at any height, solid damage, and easy to use.
Downside: Slightly nerfed in the recent update, now sits just below TaeKwonDo.
Best For: Beginners or those who don’t want to mess with height rolls.
Muay Thai
Why it’s Good: Great guard breaks, stuns, grabs, and a strong combo kit.
Bonus: Very strong with good card setups.
Best For: Players who want pressure-based play and like forcing mistakes.
Karate
Why it’s Good: Underrated pick with counters, sidekicks, throws, and knockbacks.
Key Note: Moves have fast startup and are tricky to punish.
Best For: Balanced fighters who want a mix of offense and defense.
Akido
Why it’s Good: Extremely strong IF you’re skilled. Has counters, grabs, redirection, and high burst damage.
Downside: Low range and very hard to master.
Best For: High-skill players looking for a rewarding, technical style.
C-Tier
Street Fighting
- Why it’s Weak: Good damage, but zero combo potential.
- Problem: In a game where combos rule, this style just falls behind.
- Best For: Casuals or those who just want a raw, brawler aesthetic.
Wrestling
- Why it’s Weak: Strong combos and damage, but extremely slow.
- Issue: Easily outsped and punished by most other styles.
- Best For: Strength builds that don’t care about mobility.
Sumo
- Why it’s Situational: Fast attacks and good grabs, but terrible if you’re not short.
- Problem: Hitboxes and reach fall short against taller opponents.
- Best For: Short characters looking for surprise pressure and body control.
