The Solo Leveling update in Rogue Piece introduced two major dungeon-based unlocks: Igris and Sung Jinwoo. Unlike many event weapons that come from simple shops or quests, both of these are tied to a full wave-defense dungeon system, which means obtaining them takes time, repeated runs, and some preparation.

Here’s a complete breakdown of how to unlock them and which one you should focus on first.

Where to Start — The Red Commander Dungeon

Both Igris and Sung Jinwoo are obtained through the same dungeon located in Rogue Town. To begin, you need to spawn the Red Commander Dungeon, which functions as a wave-based challenge.

The dungeon consists of ten waves of enemies, with two key bosses appearing at specific stages.

The boss on wave five is Igris, while the final boss on wave ten is Sung Jinwoo. Each boss drops different materials needed to unlock their respective weapons and abilities.

Because of this structure, you’ll be repeating the dungeon many times to gather everything required.

How to Unlock Igris

Igris is the simpler of the two to obtain.

To get him, you mainly need to farm the weapon drop from the wave-five boss. Alongside the weapon, the boss can also drop additional items such as books, titles, and accessories.

After obtaining the weapon, you must use three skill books to fully unlock all of Igris’s abilities. These books are also dungeon drops, which means you’ll likely need multiple runs before everything is complete.

Compared to Sung Jinwoo, the process is straightforward and doesn’t require additional quests or rank restrictions.

How to Unlock Sung Jinwoo

Sung Jinwoo has a much longer unlock process.

First, you must collect two dagger drops and fifteen soul materials from the dungeon. In addition, your character must reach Diamond rank or higher before you can start his questline.

Once you meet these requirements, you can visit the Sung Jinwoo NPC located on Starter Island to begin his unlock quest.

Sung Jinwoo Questline Requirements

The questline involves several stages, all tied to dungeon grinding.

You’ll need to clear the dungeon fifteen times, which alone takes significant time due to the ten-wave structure.

After that, you must defeat Sung Jinwoo five times using the dual daggers, followed by defeating Igris ten times with the same weapon setup.

This makes Sung Jinwoo one of the more time-intensive unlocks in Rogue Piece.

Accessory Buffs and Power Differences

Both characters come with powerful accessories that provide major damage boosts.

The Igris accessory grants a strong sword damage multiplier, making it extremely useful for weapon builds.

However, Sung Jinwoo’s accessory provides an even higher damage multiplier, making it one of the best overall offensive accessories currently available.

Because of this, many players grind Sung Jinwoo primarily for the accessory rather than the character alone.

Moveset and Damage Comparison

In combat, both characters feature flashy abilities and cinematic cutscenes.

Igris is known for having extremely high raw damage output, especially with his heavy-hitting abilities. His attacks are straightforward and focused on direct burst damage.

Sung Jinwoo, on the other hand, offers a more balanced moveset with strong damage and visually impressive abilities, though some players feel his cutscenes can slightly slow gameplay during combat.

Overall, Igris tends to win in raw damage potential, while Sung Jinwoo offers versatility and better accessory value.

Which One Should You Get First

Most players should aim to unlock Igris first since he requires fewer materials and no rank restrictions.

After that, you can begin the longer grind toward Sung Jinwoo. Because the dungeon drops overlap, farming for Igris naturally contributes to Sung Jinwoo progress.

Ultimately, both are worth obtaining, as they complement each other well in progression.

The best way to handle this update is to focus on consistent dungeon runs rather than rushing.

Start by farming wave-five boss drops to unlock Igris quickly. While doing this, save all Sung Jinwoo materials so you can begin his questline immediately once you meet the rank requirement.

Since both unlock paths rely on repeated dungeon clears, patience and consistency are far more important than raw combat strength.

Players who stick with regular dungeon farming will eventually unlock both without needing to rely on luck alone.
