Hello everyone, I’m Adam. I’m glad to be here to share my experience with all of you. Today, I want to talk about what the tags in the top left corner of the hero mean, as well as how we should position our heroes according to their tags and which units to pair them with.
First, each hero has 3 tags. The first one is the units they are suitable to be paired with. The second one is the recommended location in the fleet where the system suggests placing them. The last one is a summary of what type of hero they are.
Let’s look at the first tag, which talks about what type of units this hero is suitable for. Generally speaking, most heroes are general, meaning they can be used with any type of units. Only special heroes are limited to specific units, and their skills are designed for those units. Now let’s see which special heroes we have.
Heroes limited to usino Ranger: Puroe MourningRell. Flames
Heroes limited to using Riders: Shadow Hunter, Double-edged, Judge.
It is worth mentioning that special heroes can deploy non-designated units. For example, the Purge can also bring riders or warriors, but the bonus effect for ranger units will not be in effect.
Next, let’s look at the second tag, which discusses where heroes should be placed. In our lineup, we have the back , mid and front , where heroes can be positioned. The first step is to clarify where the back , mid and front are located.
In the second step, we need to understand how the position of the hero is determined, and here we will encounter a new concept, which is the skill range. Perhaps you have never paid attention to it before. The skill range refers to the area that a skill can attack. We can see it when we click on each active skill.
So how do we calculate the attack range? Starting from the position of your hero, each column of troops counts as 1 distance, and each additional group of troops counts as an additional distance. Let’s take an example: if we place StealthRose in the mid, then a battle range of 3 means that this skill can cover the enemy’s front and mid row troops, as shown in the diagram above.
Each hero’s positioning is determined by the range of their active skills. You can place mid heroes in the front or back heroes in the mid , but you cannot place front heroes in the mid or back , as this would prevent their skills from attacking enemies.
Heroes in Output often have skills related to attack.
Most of the skills carried by Support heroes are able to provide teammates with beneficial buffs.
Skills carried by Defense heroes reduce enemy damage and increase our team’s defense.
The skills carried by Control heroes can bring debuff effects to enemies and silence them.
The skills carried by Sweeper mainly target wild creeps, resulting in higher damage when attacking wild creeps.
