It’s back. That familiar chill? That faint rustling in the trees? Yeah — it’s the Forest Spirit, and he’s once again haunting our favorite maps in Phasmophobia. Only this time, he didn’t come alone.

This year’s Cursed Hollow event comes packed with rotating haunted maps, Totem and Minion hunting, special point-based rewards, and — for the first time ever — community-wide unlocks alongside personal milestones. Whether you’re a solo hunter or rolling in with your crew, there’s something here for everyone.

But tread carefully. These Totems aren’t just cursed decorations — disturbing them has consequences. The Spirit is watching.

How to Join the Cursed Hollow Event

Once you load into a game, check the event board near the van. It’ll show:

• Event duration

• Your personal and community progress

• How to earn points

• The list of daily haunted maps

To earn progress, you’ll need to complete specific objectives such as:

• ✅ Identifying the ghost

• ✅ Clearing optional side objectives

• ✅ Locating Forest Minions (using D.O.T.S)

Your contributions count toward both personal rewards and the global community goal — and yep, rewards are automatically unlocked once you hit the required points!

Haunted Map Pool & Rotation

Each day, 4 of 9 maps become cursed — but don’t be surprised if only one’s active. You’ll know which ones are live by checking the map board for the Nest icon.

Only active maps grant event points — and they’ll have subtle, spooky visual cues added by the Forest Spirit’s presence.

Pro Tip: You can complete the event using any difficulty — even custom settings with faster movement or less aggressive ghosts!

Forest Minions – How to Find & Reveal Them

Minions are small, eerie critters hiding in nests across cursed maps. The nests are hard to miss once you know what to look for — usually tucked away in corners, near knocked-over furniture, or surrounded by fireflies and broken eggs.

Here’s how to expose them:

1. Locate a nest — Listen for faint whispers or insect-like clicks.

2. Place a D.O.T.S projector nearby — Tier I works well, but Tier III is great for wall setups.

3. Watch carefully — If a Minion is present, it’ll react: sometimes fleeing, sometimes lunging!

No need to snap a photo — just revealing them counts.

The Forest Spirit Awaits…

Once you’ve stirred up enough trouble in the cursed zones — revealing Minions, smashing Totems, and successfully ID’ing ghosts — the Forest Spirit will come out to play.
