The Update 11 release in Anime Vanguards introduced one of the most sought-after secret units — Denji. As expected, unlocking and evolving him isn’t straightforward. Players must first obtain multiple related units, complete a special questline, and farm specific evolution materials.
This guide explains the full process step-by-step, including how to get Denji, how to evolve the required units, and how to complete his evolution quest efficiently.
How to Obtain Denji
There are currently two ways to get Denji.
Method 1 — Banner Summons (Primary Method)
Denji is available through the limited-time banner during Update 11.
Players can:
- Pull him directly using summons
- Use saved rerolls or currency for faster attempts
Since he is a secret-tier unit, the drop rate is extremely low.
Method 2 — Unit Selection (When Available)
If Denji leaves the banner, players can still obtain him through:
- Unit selection systems
- Special event rewards (if added later)
However, this option is not always active.
Denji Evolution Requirements
After obtaining Denji, you cannot evolve him immediately.
You must complete a Special Questline that requires evolving two other update units first.
These units are:
- Aki (Demon Hunter)
- Power (Delusional Demon)
Both must be evolved before Denji’s evolution becomes available.
How to Evolve Aki (Demon Hunter)
To evolve Aki, you need:

- 1 Curse Bullet
How to Get Curse Bullet
- Obtained through specific event runs
- Has roughly a 10% drop rate
- Requires repeated farming attempts
Because of the low drop rate, this is usually the most time-consuming step.
How to Evolve Power (Delusional Demon)
Power’s evolution is much simpler.
Required Material
- 12 Blood Swords
Unlike older evolution systems, this update removed the need for takedowns or kill requirements.
Simply collect the required swords and evolve the unit.
Completing Denji’s Special Quest
Once both Aki and Power are evolved:
- Open the Special Quests tab
- Locate Denji’s questline
- Complete both evolution objectives
After finishing the quest, players receive a special reward tied to Denji’s evolution.
Evolution Reward — Pochita Mount
Completing the full evolution chain unlocks:
- Pochita Mount
This mount is primarily cosmetic and utility-focused rather than combat-based.
It also plays a role in certain automation strategies used by players.
