Mashle Academy is one of those Roblox experiences where your race choice isn’t just cosmetic — it defines how you fight, survive, and dominate.
With the recent hype around new players jumping in and everyone arguing about the meta, one thing is clear: not all races are built equally. Some give you raw survivability, others enable insane combos, and a few… just don’t keep up when things get serious.
So if you’re trying to figure out what’s actually worth using, here’s a clean, no-nonsense breakdown of the current Mashle Academy Race Tier List, based on real in-game performance — not just rarity.
Mashle Academy Race Tier List – Best Races Ranked
S Tier – Dark Elf
Dark Elf is, without exaggeration, one of the most oppressive races in the game right now.
The biggest reason? Flat 10% magic damage reduction.
In a game where most builds revolve around magic nukes, this instantly makes you far tankier than you should be. You can walk into fights that would normally delete you — and just survive.
But what really pushes it into S Tier is its awakening:
- Dark Sphere → absorbs a magic attack and reflects it back as an explosion
This turns defense into offense. If you can predict enemy abilities properly, you’re not just surviving — you’re punishing them hard.
The only downside is skill dependency. Mistime the counter, and you waste your biggest tool. But when used correctly, Dark Elf feels borderline unfair.
A Tier – Orc, Bastaya, Demon
Orc
Orc is one of the best setup races in the game.
- Brute’s Bellow (Awakening):
- AoE fear
- Defense reduction
- Slow effect
This ability completely disrupts enemies. You press one button, and suddenly your opponent is panicking, slowed, and vulnerable.
On top of that:
- Balanced stats for both PvE and PvP
- 10% reduction against muscle-based damage
Orc doesn’t just deal damage — it creates opportunities for massive combos.
Bastaya
Bastaya is all about mechanics.
- Larger perfect dodge window
- Hyper Reflexes → instant dodge counter (very low cooldown if used correctly)
In the hands of a skilled player, Bastaya feels untouchable. You can dodge everything, counter instantly, and control fights through movement alone.
However, it’s high risk:
- Miss the timing → 20-second cooldown punishment
This is why it sits in A Tier. Extremely strong, but only if your reflexes are sharp.
Demon
Demon is strong — just not as broken as people expect from a legendary.
- 10% Lifesteal → constant sustain in fights
- Strong in PvE and boss fights
- Blood Severance → execute low HP enemies
The issue is simple: Demon doesn’t carry you by itself.
To make it truly overpowered, you need:
- Proper combo setups
- Synergy with abilities/clans
It’s consistent and reliable, but not game-breaking on its own.
B Tier – Elf, Angel
Elf
Elf leans heavily into resource management, not damage.
- Increased stamina regeneration
- Awakening spawns spirits that:
- Track enemies
- Drop mana orbs
This allows you to spam abilities more freely, making it great for PvE grinding.
The problem is PvP.
When fights come down to burst damage and fast kills, Elf just doesn’t hit hard enough. It’s useful — but not threatening.
Angel
Angel looks powerful, but struggles in high-level play.
- No knockback on parries
- Speed boost after successful parries
- Awakening provides defense + feather attack
It’s flashy and can feel smooth to play, especially with its hyper armor-like effects.
But the issue is synergy:
- Awakening doesn’t combo well
- Hard to set up big damage plays
In competitive fights, it often gets outclassed by more aggressive races.
C Tier – Human
Human is exactly what you’d expect from a starter race — basic and replaceable.
- Greed → slightly more coins on grip
- Higher hybrid adaptation chance
These bonuses don’t impact combat in any meaningful way.
You’ll outgrow Human very quickly, and there’s no real reason to stick with it unless you’re just starting out.
