Luminary Battlefield is currently still being tested. This Kingdom Guard Luminary Battlefield Guide was created based on data from the July 12th event by SimplySean.

Luminary Battlefield Rules
Castle level must be >100 to enter the battlefield. Before entering the Luminary Battlefield, troops must be home and castle must be on the main map.
The event consists of 3 different battles throughout the day. 5:00 UTC, 13:00 UTC, 21:00 UTC. You can only participate in TWO of the time slots per day.
Luminary Battlefield Gameplay
Each battle is divided into 3 Phases. After each Phase ends, the battlefield shrinks. To be promoted to the next Phases, you must meet the rank requirement and battle requirement.
Points are earned by attacking monsters and bringing chests back to your castle and by battling other Players. The more chests a Troop is holding, the more March Speed reduction that occurs.
Phase 1
Find monsters on the map spend AP to defeat them and carry chests back to your castle. Make sure to find other players as well and battle them for more points.
Rank in the top 1,000 and Fight in more than 5 battles
Phase 2
Find higher ranking monsters on the map and spend AP to defeat them and carry heavier chests back to your castle. Make sure to find more players on the map as well and battle them for even more points.
Rank in the top 500 and Fight in more than 5 battles
Phase 3
Final phase. Defeat the Blazing Lord to earn the kill reward and receive extra rewards for your alliance. You can not heal troops during this Phase.
During Phase 1 and 2 you are able to use the supply at the bottom left of the screen. This gives you a Free 20% heal and a 40% heal that you can purchase for 180 Gems.

Simply_Sean Recommendation
While this is still in testing, it takes a lot of resources to be able to survive all the Phases and attempt to get the last hit on the Blazing Lord. Unless you can easily place in the top 20 rankings, it’s better to do the minimum needed to make it to the last Phase.
The Knight Level system seems like a decent system so far. Honor Points are extremely hard to come by and they are the best reward obtainable through this event.
