New variants, wall combos, perfect dodges, and a winter map all came in quietly, and if you use any of the updated characters, you will definitely feel the difference.

Winter Map and Holiday Atmosphere
The game now has a winter-themed map with snow and Christmas decorations. It is not just cosmetic either. The layout feels cleaner and smoother, which makes movement and wall pressure easier to control. Fights feel less cluttered, especially in public lobbies.
Edward / Alchemist Gets a Brand-New Move
Edward, also known as Alchemist, received a new move called Transmute Blade, and it is not just a single attack. It actually has built-in variants.
When you use it normally, it acts like a clean melee strike that blends smoothly into combos. But if you hold your jump input while using it, the move changes completely. You get a different animation and hit behavior, which gives you more combo routes and mix-up options.
What makes this move special is that it also affects your first skill, meaning your entire opener flow feels different once you equip it. Edward now has more ways to pressure enemies and start chains instead of relying on the same old routes.
Edgerunner Gets Perfect Dodges and New Tech
Edgerunner got some of the biggest quality-of-life buffs in this update.
He now has perfect dodges. If you time your dodge perfectly against any dodgeable attack, you trigger a perfect dodge state. During this moment, you can reposition, reset pressure, or immediately punish your opponent. It feels a lot like a parry system, but faster and more fluid.
He also received a new wall combo. This combo pins opponents cleanly and lets you chain follow-ups more easily than before. It is one of the more reliable wall routes in the game right now.
On top of that, he got a new move variant that is activated by pressing R with his first move. It is a fast, sharp strike that works great as a finisher or quick punish tool.
Edgerunner now feels much more technical and rewarding if you play with good timing.
Silk Weaver Gets a New Wall Combo
Silk Weaver received a new wall combo that fires off a multi-hit barrage. It looks flashy, but more importantly, it locks opponents in place long enough for you to reposition or set up your next attack.
This gives Silk Weaver stronger corner pressure and makes it easier to keep enemies pinned during close fights.
Even though this is called a “small” update, it changes how several characters flow in real matches. Edward now has more creative combo routes, Edgerunner finally feels technical and reactive, and Silk Weaver has better control at the wall.
If you play any of these characters, it is worth jumping into a few matches just to feel how different they are now.
