You know that feeling when a new ability drops and everyone starts using it before you even figure out where it comes from? That’s exactly what happened with Judgment. One minute it’s in the banner, next minute people are already running around with Domain Expansion like it’s nothing.
If you don’t want to fall behind, here’s the full progression explained properly — from unlocking Judgment to activating its Domain Expansion.
Step 1: Getting Judgment
First thing — you don’t “find” Judgment in the world.
You get it from:

So yeah, it comes down to luck unless you hit pity.
If you’re unlucky like most players, you’ll probably:
- Keep spinning
- Eventually reach pity
- Then unlock Judgment
Once you get it, equip it immediately — because progression doesn’t start until you actually use it.
Step 2: Reach Mastery 100
Before anything else, you need:
100 Mastery on Judgment
Without this, you won’t unlock the full kit or move forward.
Fastest way to level mastery:
- Spam Injured Student quests
- These give solid mastery XP
- Repeat until you hit level 100
This is the grind phase — nothing complicated, just consistency.
Step 3: Unlock Abilities
Once you hit 100 mastery, you can unlock most of Judgment’s skills.
However, the final ability — the Domain Expansion — is still locked.
And this is where most players get confused.
Step 4: Get Case Files
To unlock Domain Expansion, you need Case Files.
Here’s how you get them:
- Open your map
- Teleport to the required area (TP location)
- Look for a hidden cave
Inside the cave:
- You’ll find an NPC called Lawyer Assistant
- Talk to him
- Accept and complete his quests
What the quests involve:
- Picking up items
- Traveling to marked locations
- Simple fetch tasks
Nothing hard here — just follow the markers and complete everything.
Step 5: Get Judgment Scale
This is the second requirement, and the one most players miss.
Where to go:
- Near spawn area
- Look behind structures
- Find the Judgment weapon (Deadly Judge)
Interact with it (press F), and it will:
Start an overworld raid
What happens next:
- A boss spawns
- You fight it
- It drops Judgment Scale
Important:
- Drop is not guaranteed
- You may need multiple runs
Good news:
- Boss is not very difficult
- Can be soloed
- Faster with friends
Step 6: Unlock Domain Expansion
Once you have:
- 100 mastery
- Case Files completed
- Judgment Scale
You can finally unlock:
Judgment Domain Expansion
And this is where the ability actually becomes powerful.
Secret Mechanic: Death Penalty Sword
This is the real highlight.
If you trigger:
Death Penalty
You unlock:
- A secret sword
- Extra abilities
- High burst damage
This doesn’t happen every time — you need timing and a bit of luck.
Bonus: Hidden Buff System
There’s also a meter (bar) tied to Judgment.
- As it fills → you gain buffs
- Better performance in fights
So don’t ignore it — it directly affects your strength.
Judgment isn’t just another ability — it’s a full progression system.
You go from:
- RNG unlock →
- Grinding mastery →
- Completing quests →
