The Emblem System in Jujutsu Zero adds an extra gear slot that increases your stats and allows you to apply special combat effects called Ailments. A good emblem with the right ailment can significantly increase your damage, especially in raids and late-game content.

This guide explains how to unlock emblems, how they work, and which ailments are the best.

How to Unlock the Emblem Slot

Before using emblems, you must unlock the fourth gear slot dedicated to them.

Steps to unlock:

  1. Go to the Investigation Shop.
  2. Purchase the Emblem Slot for 2,500 Cursed Crystals.
  3. Cursed Crystals are earned by playing Investigation Mode.

Once unlocked, you can equip one emblem at a time. It works like an additional gear piece that boosts stats and allows you to apply an ailment.

How to Get Emblems

Emblems are obtained from Eido Crates, which drop in Investigation Mode.

There are two types of emblems:

Eido Emblem I

  • Drop chance: about 3.14%
  • Contains 4 random stats
  • Higher stat potential overall

Eido Emblem II

  • Drop chance: about 1.05%
  • Contains 3 random stats
  • Easier to optimize for specific builds

Each emblem rolls random stats, such as:

  • Attack
  • Attack %
  • Health
  • Critical Rate
  • Other combat stats

Because stats are random, two players can have the same emblem but with completely different stat values.

The best strategy is to farm multiple emblems and keep the ones with strong damage stats, especially Attack or Attack %.

Rerolling Emblem Values

At Tomb of the Stars, you can reroll emblem stat values.

Important detail:

  • Rerolling changes the value of the stat, not the stat type.

Example:

  • Attack stays Attack
  • Only the number improves

You use Lucky Dice to reroll stat values.

This allows you to keep a strong emblem and upgrade it instead of farming a new one.

What Are Ailments

Ailments are special effects that can trigger when you hit enemies.

Each ailment has:

  • A trigger chance
  • A unique effect
  • Different usefulness depending on content

To apply an ailment:

  1. Equip an emblem
  2. Talk to the Ailment NPC
  3. Apply the ailment material

Grade 1 Ailments

These are the easier ailments to obtain.

Burn

Material: Flame Fragment

Drop chance: about 0.5–2% from crates

Effect:

  • 7.5% chance to trigger
  • Deals 5 damage ticks

Example damage test:

  • ~730k per tick (super crit)
  • Total ≈ 3.65 million damage

Best use:

  • Consistent extra damage
  • Good for Infinity Raid farming

Burn is a strong early option that adds steady damage.

Freeze

Material: Snowflake

Drop chance: about 0.5–2% from Eido Crates

Effect:

  • Stuns enemies
  • Deals 5 ticks of damage

Example damage:

  • ~450k per tick
  • Total ≈ 2.15 million damage

Compared to burn:

  • Less damage
  • But provides crowd control

Best use:

  • Control-heavy situations
  • Slowing dangerous enemies

Special Grade Ailments

These are stronger but harder to obtain.

They are applied through the Ailment II NPC at Tomb of the Stars.

Electrocute

Material: Thunderbolt

Drop source:

  • Lightning Crate
  • Awakened Kashimo Raid

Drop chance: about 0.09%

Effect:

  • 7.3% trigger chance
  • 5 ticks of damage

Example damage:

  • ~1 million per tick
  • Total ≈ 5 million damage

Electrocute is one of the highest raw damage ailments.

Best use:

  • Pure damage builds
  • High DPS setups

Chained

Material: Cursed Chains

Drop chance: about 0.6% from Eido Crates

Effect:

  • Breaks the enemy toughness bar
  • Stuns the enemy
  • Target takes 1.5× damage

Unlike other ailments, this one does not focus on personal damage.

Best use:

  • Team raids
  • Coordinated group damage
  • Boss vulnerability phases

It is extremely powerful in multiplayer content.

Bleed

Material: Blood Residue

Drop chance: about 0.6% from Eido Crates

Effect:

  • Deals 5% of enemy max HP
  • Also deals tick damage

Example damage:

  • 5% max HP
  • Plus ~476k tick damage × 4

Example against a boss with 100M HP:

  • 5% damage = 5M
  • Tick damage ≈ 1.9M
  • Total ≈ 6.9M+ damage

Because it scales with enemy HP, bleed becomes extremely strong in late-game raids and bosses.

Best Ailments Ranked

1. Bleed

Best overall.

Reasons:

  • Percent HP damage
  • Additional tick damage
  • Scales extremely well against bosses

Best for:

  • Very high damage ticks

Best Emblem Progression Strategy

Follow this path for efficient progression.

Step 1
Unlock the Emblem Slot from the Investigation Shop.

Step 2
Farm Eido Crates until you obtain a good emblem.

Focus on:

  • Attack
  • Attack %

Step 3
Apply an early ailment such as Burn.

Step 4
Upgrade to Bleed or Electrocute when you obtain the materials.

Step 5
Reroll stat values using Lucky Dice to maximize the emblem.

You do not need to replace your emblem when upgrading ailments.

You can:

  • Keep a strong emblem
  • Change the ailment whenever you get better materials

This allows you to gradually improve your build without losing good gear.
