The Pentathlon Update is one of the biggest gameplay-focused updates Ink Game has received so far. Instead of adding just one new challenge, this update introduces an entire multi-stage mode that tests different skills, teamwork, and consistency. It’s fast, intense, and punishes mistakes, but it also rewards coordination and smart play.

Below is a complete, easy-to-follow guide explaining how the Pentathlon works and what else was added in this update.

What Is the Pentathlon Mode?

Pentathlon is a brand-new six-legged Pentathlon game mode that unlocks after Dalona. It combines five different mini-games into one continuous mode, making it feel more like a competitive gauntlet than a single challenge.

Key idea:
Every player on your team plays one mini-game, and your team’s total time determines how well you perform.

This means individual mistakes matter, but they don’t instantly eliminate the entire team.

Team Creation & Match Rules

Before the Pentathlon starts, players can create their own teams inside the waiting room.

Important rules:

  • Each team plays five games total
  • Each player is assigned one mini-game
  • If your team is missing players, AI teammates will fill in
  • Each mini-game has a limited time
  • Failing a mini-game does not eliminate your team, but it adds time, which hurts your final result
  • Game timing scales with player count to avoid long waiting periods

Good teams focus on consistency, not perfection.

Pentathlon Mini-Games Explained

Each mini-game focuses on a different skill type. Knowing what’s coming helps a lot.

Tile Flip Mini-Game

This mini-game uses a mix of power control and positioning.

  • You throw a tile using a power bar
  • Correct timing flips the guards
  • Successfully flipping them lets you move on
  • Bad timing wastes attempts and time

This game rewards patience more than speed.

Flying Stone

A reaction-based UI mini-game.

  • Stop a moving arrow at the correct moment
  • Proper timing lets you hit the guard stone
  • Missing the timing adds delays

Simple concept, but easy to mess up under pressure.

Gongji (Skill Check Throw)

This one is a multi-stage skill check.

  • Click or tap to throw the rock into the air
  • Follow on-screen prompts
  • Press the correct key or tap at the right time
  • Each success progresses the sequence

Messing up forces you to restart part of the sequence.

Spinning Top Mini-Game

One of the more technical challenges.

  • Rotate the UI using mouse, joystick, or touch
  • Carefully tie a thread around a spinning top
  • Precision matters more than speed

This one tests steady control instead of fast reactions.

Jegichagi (Kick Challenge)

A rhythm-based coordination game.

  • Aim the ball using A / D or joystick
  • Press Space (or mobile button) when the ball reaches your leg
  • You must kick successfully five times in a row

Missing even once breaks the streak, costing valuable time.

Guard Gameplay (Playable Guards)

This update also expands guard gameplay, adding a darker, more interactive role.

Guards can:

  • Collect bodies of failed players
  • Place them into coffins
  • Use forklifts to transport coffins
  • Turn in coffins for rewards

This adds a grim but interactive layer to matches.

New Power – Unbreaker

A new Legendary Power has been added through scheduled rewards.

Unbreaker Power

  • Gives you an umbrella
  • Can block attacks
  • Can launch you forward to strike enemies

It’s both defensive and offensive, making it very versatile.

AFK World & Emote Updates

Several updates were made to AFK systems and cosmetics.

  • 3 limited-time AFK World emotes added
  • 6 new limited-time scheduled reward emotes
  • Video previews added for emotes in AFK World
  • New poses and animations added

AFK progression now feels more rewarding and clearer.

Gacha & Pity Changes

The update adjusts pity values to make pulls more forgiving.

  • Weekend pity: 199
  • Weekday pity: 225
  • Pity lock has been unlocked for affected players
  • Developers may lower pity further depending on post-update feedback

This is a major quality-of-life improvement for collectors.

Social & UI Improvements

Several long-requested features were added:

  • Cross-server gifting (send gifts to players not in your server)
  • Gun visibility changes
  • Win streaks now display on leaderboards
  • Admin abuse text updated
  • Halloween event disabled
  • Multiple bug fixes and performance improvements

Overall, the game feels cleaner and more polished.

The Pentathlon Update shifts Ink Game from isolated challenges to team-based performance and consistency. It rewards players who stay calm, communicate, and understand each mini-game rather than relying purely on luck.
