Trading in Bridger: Western isn’t what most players expect. There’s no menu, no trade button, no system built into the game. Instead, trading is entirely dependent on a specific ability and a few players who have access to it.
If you’ve been asking in chat and getting nowhere, this is why.
How to Trade Stands in Bridger Western
The game doesn’t have a normal trading system. Instead, trading only works through:
- A White Snake user
- Manual exchange between players
- Limited availability
Without a White Snake user present, trading is simply not possible.
Who Can Actually Trade
Right now, only a few players can facilitate trades:
- A developer (commonly known as Westrat)
- A trusted player (Kyle)
- Possibly a third unknown user
That’s it.
These players use White Snake to:
- Remove your stand
- Take the other player’s stand
- Swap them manually
So instead of a system… it’s basically a middleman process.
How Trading Actually Works
Here’s the real flow:
- You and another player agree to trade
- Join a server where a White Snake user is present
- Both players go to the trade location (usually the bank area)
- The White Snake user:
- Takes both stands
- Swaps them between players
And that’s your trade done.
How to Get Into a Trading Server
This is the hardest part.
You cannot just join randomly—you need to:
- Join the official Discord server (or trading server)
- Wait for announcements
- Look for a message saying trading is open
When that happens:
- A join link is posted
- You must join immediately
Why It’s So Hard to Join
Servers fill up extremely fast.
- Max players: ~25
- Hundreds of players trying to join
- Most people don’t get in
Even if you already have a trade partner:
- One of you might get in
- The other might not
So timing matters more than anything.
Where Trades Usually Happen
Most trades take place in:
- Bank area (Richby County / city zone)
Once inside:
- Players gather
- Look for trade partners
- Wait for their turn
How to Find Someone to Trade With
There are two main ways:
1. Inside the Server
- Join trade server
- Ask players directly
- Fastest method
2. Discord Trading
- DM players beforehand
- Try to plan a trade
But keep in mind:
- Getting both players into the same server is difficult
Common Mistakes Players Make
Spamming Chat for White Snake
This doesn’t work.
Those users:
- Aren’t online all day
- Only host trades for a limited time (usually ~1–2 hours)
Waiting in Random Servers
Trades do not happen randomly.
If there’s no White Snake user:
- You cannot trade
Being Too Slow on Join Links
If you hesitate even a few seconds:
- Server will be full
Trading in Bridger: Western is less of a system and more of an event.
- Limited access
- Few facilitators
- High competition to join
It’s frustrating, but once you understand how it works, it becomes manageable.
Just remember:
You’re not missing something—the system really is this restricted.
