If you’ve been hearing whispers about a “secret rod” in Fisch and thought it was just another troll… yeah, same here. But turns out—it’s real. And not only is it real, it’s one of the weirdest (and coolest) rods you can unlock right now.
I went through this entire process myself, got confused halfway, messed up a step, had to redo parts—and now I’m breaking it down for you in the simplest way possible so you don’t go through that pain.
Let’s get straight into it.
Part 1 – Start the Vocaloid Quest
This whole process begins with a hidden quest involving three NPCs:
- Miku (blue hair)
- Tetto (red hair)
- Nero (yellow hair)
You’ll need to bring specific fish to each of them.
What to Turn In:
- Miku: Sunken Grand Reef Guardian
- Tetto: Crimson Blue Lit Batfish
- Nero: Shiny Solar Large Rod Bath
This is basically your “entry ticket” into the secret chain. Nothing too crazy yet—but it gets worse (in a good way).
Part 2 – Upgraded Fish Requirements
Now the game raises the difficulty.
You’ll need rarer versions of similar fish:
- Miku: Shiny Abyssal Grand Reef Guardian
- Tetto: Sanguine Blue Lit Batfish
- Nero: Shiny King Blessing Large Bass
Yeah… RNG is going to test your patience here. If you’re unlucky, this step alone might take a while.
Part 3 – The Hidden Emote Puzzle
This is where things start getting weird.
You need to perform the Bird Brain emote in two very specific locations:
Roslet Volcano
- Climb all the way to the top
- Stand on a small ledge near the peak
- Spam the Bird Brain emote
- You’ll eventually receive a Red Herring
Sunstone Island
- Reach the highest point possible
- Do the same emote again
- Wait until text appears on your screen
This part feels random, but it’s actually unlocking the next stage behind the scenes.
Part 4 – Terrapin Cultist Layer Puzzle
Now head to Terrapin and enter the cultist lair.
This is where most players get stuck, so pay attention.
You’ll be collecting 3 rod parts using specific fish on different floors.
Floor 2
- Equip Red Lit Batfish
- Go to the door on the right near an NPC
- Fish directly at the door
- Reward: Crimson Rhythm Handle
Floor 3
- Equip Mini Reef Guardian
- Find the wall behind an NPC (Elas area)
- Fish at the wall
- Reward: Melody Bridge Neck
Final Floor
- Equip Not-so-large Mod Bass
- Jump onto a ledge near another NPC
- Fish into a rock
- Reward: Pitch Shift Reel
Part 5 – Fix the Rod
Once you have all three parts:
- Go back to Roslet
- Find the Blacksmith
- Talk to him → He repairs the rod
At this point, you’re close—but not done yet.
Part 6 – Final Step (Don’t Skip This)
Head back to the music venue and:
- Talk to Miku, Tetto, and Nero again
- Go through all their dialogue
Only after this will they finally reward you with the Migurod
Migurod Stats
Here’s what you’re getting:
- Lure Speed: 427%
- Luck: 237%
- Control: 0.101
- Resilience: -185%
And yes… that negative resilience is real.
But this rod isn’t about being “meta”—it’s about being chaotic and fun.
You’ll start catching bizarre stuff like:
- A literal baguette
- Fish holding knives (yes, really)
It’s more of a meme rod—but honestly, one of the most entertaining ones in the game.
This quest is not straightforward at all. It mixes RNG grinding, hidden mechanics, and straight-up weird puzzles.
If I had to give one tip:
Don’t rush it. Take it step by step, especially the Terrapin part.
And if something doesn’t work, double-check:
- The fish you’re equipping
- The exact location you’re fishing
- Whether you completed earlier steps fully
Miss one detail, and the game just won’t tell you.
