The Seed Stages Update in Grow a Garden introduces a massive collection of new pets, rare plants, and evolving mechanics that completely reshape how you play the game. From 16 new seeds to Jungle Eggs, from evolving systems to season pass exclusives — this How to Get New Pets and Seeds in the Seed Stages Update will show you exactly how to unlock every new plant and pet in the update.
1. How to Evolve Plants and Unlock Rewards
Only four plants in the game can evolve:
- Evo Beetroot
- Evo Blueberry
- Evo Pumpkin
- Evo Mushroom
Where to Start:
- Talk to the Seed Stages NPC
- Select “Show me Stage 1 Seeds”
- Purchase any of the four Evo seeds
You cannot evolve standard seeds. Only these four “Evo” versions can be upgraded through stages.
The Evolution Process
Each Evo seed passes through four stages:
- Stage 1 → 2: Submit grown plant to receive Evo 2 + a random reward (e.g. Common Egg)
- Stage 2 → 3: Submit Evo 2 to receive Evo 3 + a higher-tier reward (e.g. Legendary Egg)
- Stage 3 → 4: Submit Evo 3 to receive Evo 4 (final form) + rare reward pool (Jungle Egg, Exotic Seed Pack, Grand Master Sprinkler, etc.)
- Stage 4: Maxed — cannot evolve further, but can be sold for shekels
Tips to Speed Up and Maximize Growth:
- Feed the plant using food (press E near it)
- Use sprinklers to boost size and speed
- Apply mutations to increase reward quality
- Use the Triceratops ride to speed up growth across multiple plots
