The Fallen Snowblade is one of the hidden rewards added in the latest update, and unlocking it requires completing a secret quest given by the Snow NPC. The quest is not very obvious at first, and each step requires catching rare creatures during specific conditions. If you know exactly what to do, the process becomes much easier.
This guide walks through the entire process step-by-step so you can unlock the Fallen Snowblade skin and rod without wasting time.
Finding the Snow NPC
Before anything else, you need to locate the NPC that starts the quest.
Start by traveling around Boru and head toward the snowy area. Keep driving until you reach a small cabin sitting in the snow. It is easy to miss if you are moving too fast, so slow down once you reach the snowy section.
Inside the cabin you will find Snow, the NPC who gives the quest.
Walk up to him and interact with him to begin the challenge.
Once you talk to him, he will give you a three-step fishing quest. Each step requires catching a specific rare Leviathan.
Step 1 – Catch a Rainbow Leviathan
The first objective is catching a Rainbow Leviathan.
This creature only appears during the Rainbow Weather event, which is a special weather condition that occasionally happens in the game.
When the rainbow weather starts, immediately head to your fishing spot and begin fishing. The Rainbow Leviathan is rare, so it may take a few attempts before you actually hook one.
A small tip: when rainbow weather begins, many players rush to fish at once. If you stay focused and keep casting, you will eventually get it.
Once you catch the Rainbow Leviathan, the first step of the quest is completed.
Step 2 – Catch a Golden Rainbow Leviathan
The second step is a little trickier.
You now need to catch a Golden Rainbow Leviathan.
This fish only appears when the Rainbow Weather turns Golden, which happens about 10% of the time. Because of this, you may need to wait through several rainbow events before seeing the golden version.
When the golden rainbow weather appears, start fishing immediately.
The Golden Rainbow Leviathan is basically a rarer version of the previous fish, so patience is important here.
Once you catch it, the second step is finished.
Step 3 – Catch a Shamrock Leviathan
Next, Snow will ask you to catch a Shamrock Leviathan.
Unlike the previous fish, this one must be spawned manually. You cannot just wait for the event to happen naturally.
You will need the item used to spawn the Shamrock Leviathan event. Once the event is active, begin fishing and try to hook the Leviathan.
This step is usually easier if you already have the event item ready.
After catching the Shamrock Leviathan, you will complete the first part of the quest.
At this point, Snow rewards you with the Fallen Snowblade skin.
But the quest is not actually finished yet.
Final Step – Catch a Lucky Gold Frostworm
There is one final hidden step.
If you talk to Snow during the Winter season, he unlocks another objective.
This last challenge requires you to catch a Lucky Gold Frostworm.
This creature is extremely rare and only appears during Winter conditions, which means timing is important. If it is not winter in the game, you will need to wait until the season changes.
Once winter begins, start fishing and keep trying until the Lucky Gold Frostworm appears.
This is the final requirement for the quest.
Reward – Fallen Snowblade Rod
After completing all four steps and returning to Snow, you will receive the Fallen Snowblade rod.
This rod is the main reward of the quest and one of the coolest items added in the update. Because the quest involves several rare catches and seasonal conditions, not many players will have it right away.
But once you complete the challenge, the rod is permanently yours.
