Looking for a rugged, off-road beast to conquer the desert in A Dusty Trip? The Canyon Crawler is a free, hidden gem you can unlock in the Desert Map—but it requires a little effort. If you’re up for the challenge, this guide will walk you through how to get the Canyon Crawler, test its performance, and evaluate whether it’s worth adding to your garage.

How to Get Canyon Crawler in A Dusty Trip (Free Car Guide)

Step 1: Collect 10 Wheels

Your journey to unlocking the Canyon Crawler begins with collecting 10 wheels scattered across random buildings in the Desert map. These wheels don’t appear in one fixed location, so you’ll need to explore buildings thoroughly. Keep your eyes peeled while scavenging through abandoned structures—they can spawn in various locations, so it’s all about patience and persistence.

Tip: Equip a vehicle to carry the wheels back easily. Make multiple trips if needed.

Step 2: Head to Mr. Sus Used Cars (4,155 Meters Away)

Once you’ve gathered all 10 wheels, your next destination is Mr. Sus Used Cars, located 4,155 meters away from your starting point. This may take some time depending on your current transport and fuel level, so make sure you’re prepared for a long drive through the desert.

When you reach Mr. Sus, hand over all 10 wheels. Once the trade is complete, you’ll receive your reward—a brand-new Canyon Crawler!

Step 3: Return to Lobby and Check the Garage

After completing the quest with Mr. Sus, return to the main lobby of the game. Open your garage, and you’ll find the Canyon Crawler parked and ready for use. It’s now a permanent addition to your collection—completely free!

Canyon Crawler Overview & Performance Test

The Canyon Crawler seems to be inspired by the classic 1970s Ford Bronco. It’s built tough, with a vintage off-roader look, and it’s surprisingly functional for a free vehicle.

Fuel & Stats:

  • Starting fuel: 18 liters
  • Seating: 4 passengers
  • Driver’s side: Left-hand drive
  • Dashboard features:
    • Digital speedometer
    • Radio button
    • Headlight button (located just below the radio)

Speed Test & Acceleration

Standard Wheels:

  • Top speed (Speedometer): 145 km/h
  • Top speed (Actual calculation): 111 km/h
  • 0–100 m Acceleration: 13.52 seconds

This makes the Canyon Crawler one of the slower cars when it comes to acceleration. It can take a while to build momentum, which is important to consider when escaping threats or navigating difficult terrain.

Handling & Driving Notes

  • The handling can be tricky at high speeds.
  • Turning too quickly may cause the car to flip over—so slow down when navigating sharp bends.
  • The brakes are subpar, especially under wet or slippery conditions (like after rain).

Consumption Test

After driving 5,000 meters, here’s how the Canyon Crawler performed in terms of resource usage:

  • Fuel used: 1.1 liters (from 18 L to 16.9 L)
  • Engine oil: 0.3 liters consumed
  • Radiator water: 1.4 liters consumed

While fuel and oil usage are reasonable, the radiator is noticeably wasteful. Keep extra radiator water handy for longer trips.

Big Wheels Upgrade – Worth It?

Curious if big wheels improve performance? Here’s how the Canyon Crawler did with big wheels equipped:

  • Top speed (Speedometer): 180 km/h
  • Top speed (Actual): 137 km/h
  • 0–100 m Acceleration: 13.55 seconds

So, while big wheels do boost the top speed slightly, acceleration remains virtually the same. It’s more about style and stability than a major performance upgrade.
