How to Get All New Units in Anime Vanguards Update 8.5
Broly – The Legendary Vanguard
Broly is one of the headline additions of this update, but you won’t find him directly in the banner. Instead, he’s tied to a special evolution quest.
- Start with Vegeta Super Awakened.
- Head to the Upgrade → Evolve menu and you’ll see that Vegeta can evolve into Broly.
- The evolution requires Broly’s Pelt, a special quest item.
- To get the Pelt, go to the Frozen Volcano Dungeon and pick up the remote that starts the quest.
- Follow the questline given by Bibotu, which involves sacrificing specific units like Roa, Lord Frieza, and Roku.
- Completing the objectives rewards you with Broly’s Pelt, allowing you to evolve Vegeta into Broly.
This makes Broly more of a grind than a summon, but the payoff is absolutely worth it.
Frieza – Banner Summon
Frieza is much simpler to obtain. You’ll need to head over to the Summon Area in Vanguard Plaza and roll until you pull him from the banner.
- Frieza is one of the Dragon Ball-themed units tied to the new update.
- Be prepared to spend gems, as there’s no guarantee how many summons it will take.
If you’re lucky, you might snag him quickly. If not, it could take a hefty investment, so make sure to redeem any codes available for extra rerolls first.
Rogeta – Dungeon Drop
Rogeta (the fusion unit) comes from Dungeon rewards.
- When you run dungeons with Frieza on your team, there’s about a 20% drop chance for Rogeta.
- This makes Frieza an indirect requirement if you want Rogeta, since bringing him increases your odds of unlocking the fusion.
Efficiency matters here, so if you plan on farming Rogeta, be ready to run dungeons multiple times until the drop finally hits.
Stark – World Line Reward
Unlike the others, Stark isn’t tied to summons or dungeons. Instead, he’s a World Line progression reward.
- Open up the World Lines menu.
- Check the reward ladder and you’ll see that Floor 50 rewards Stark.
- Simply push through the stages until you reach that milestone, and Stark is yours.
This makes Stark more of a long-term grind but guarantees him without relying on luck.
Other Notes
- There are no new battle pass units in this update.
- The Dungeon Shop also has useful items like Fuse Jacket, Scan, Space Pod, and Fate Gear Rolls, which will help with Broly’s evolution process and other upgrades.
- Summons have been a little buggy during launch, so if things feel off, it’s not just you.
