The Ghoul Garden Part 2 update has officially arrived in Grow a Garden, and it’s packed with new NPCs, seeds, pets, gear, and event mechanics. If you’ve been farming pumpkins since Part 1, get ready — things are getting much darker, weirder, and more rewarding this time.

This guide covers everything added in Part 2 — from the Dead Tree NPC and the new digging minigame to all the new Halloween pets, plants, and gear.

1. The Dead Tree NPC

The first major addition is the mysterious Dead Tree, a timed NPC that alternates with the Witch every few hours.

Spawn Cycle:

The Dead Tree appears for 2 hours.

Then the Witch returns for the next 2 hours.

This cycle keeps looping, so neither NPC is gone permanently.

Interaction & Lore:
When you speak to the Dead Tree, it cryptically says:
“I am what remains. I will rise when the veils grow thin. Complete my tasks before I fade…”
Basically, it’s hinting that completing its quests unlocks a secret Halloween seed.

Tasks & Rewards:
Each time the Dead Tree spawns, you’ll get a random set of quests. Completing them earns special rewards such as:

Suspicious Stew

Spooky Crate

Halloween Gear Box

Weeping Branch (0.5% chance drop)

Note: Reward chances might change as the devs balance the event.

2. The Weeping Branch (New Seed)

The Weeping Branch is the Dead Tree’s ultimate reward and one of the hardest items to obtain in this update.

Effect:
Gradually mutates nearby plants through three new mutation stages:

Wilted →

Withered →

Desolate

Rarity:
Extremely rare (0.5% quest reward).
When placed, it causes nearby plants to evolve visually and thematically into darker, haunted variants.

3. The Gravedigger Minigame

When the Witch returns, she brings back the Halloween Market — and with it, the Gravedigger NPC.

How It Works:

  • You start with 10 shovels.
  • Every 5 minutes, you regain 1 shovel automatically.
  • Use shovels to dig up graves and uncover rewards hidden in the dirt.

Rewards Include:

  • Spooky Egg
  • Crow Pet
  • Zombie Fruit
  • Random Halloween Treasures

Once your shovels are gone, you can either wait for them to regenerate or purchase more for 59 Robux (5 shovels).

4. The Halloween Market

The Market now includes a new Ghostly Gadget Store with limited-time Halloween gear:

Item Description
Halloween Gear Box Contains all the new Halloween-themed gear.
Halloween Radar Detects and collects plants with Halloween mutations (e.g., Vamp, Ghostly).
Suspicious Soup Grants random temporary buffs or debuffs.
Witch’s Broom Lets you fly around for a limited time — easily one of the most fun items added.

5. New Seeds

Candy Cornflower

Location: Halloween Shop

Sell Price: ~40,000–70,000 shekels

Notes: Purely festive — bright orange and shaped like a candy corn. Low sell price but looks great in gardens.

Blood Orange

Location: Halloween Shop

Sell Price: 126,000–200,000 shekels

Notes: A solid moneymaker with high selling value and classic citrus visuals.

Zombie Fruit

Source: Digging Event

Sell Price: 60,000–90,000 shekels

Notes: A tombstone-shaped fruit with a zombie hand sprouting out — more aesthetic than profitable.

Wisp Flower

Source: Digging Event

Sell Price: 63,000–92,000 shekels

Notes: Ethereal glowing petals with decent profit potential.

Mummy Hand

Source: Digging Quest Reward

Sell Price: Around 150,000 shekels

Notes: A large, creepy plant shaped like an upright mummy’s hand. Mostly a collector’s piece.

Weeping Branch (Event Exclusive)

Mutates nearby plants through 3 Halloween stages (Wilted → Withered → Desolate).

Ultra-rare quest drop from the Dead Tree.

6. New Gear Items (from Halloween Gear Box)

Gear Effect
Bland Jelly Gives your pet +40 XP.
Jack-O Jelly Gives your pet +100 XP.
Pumpkin Lollipop Instantly levels up Halloween pets only.
Dig Trinket Grants +1 shovel for the Gravedigger minigame.
Toffee Tether Adds a new “Tethered” mutation to your pet, making it float near you.
Suspicious Soup Randomly buffs or debuffs you when consumed.

7. New Pets

Goat

Source: Pet Shop

Ability: Every 7 minutes, charges a random player and knocks them away.

Type: Gimmick/fun pet.

Dark Sprion

Source: Pet Shop

Ability: Every 22 minutes, spreads roots that give nearby fruits a 15% chance to gain the Blight mutation (x8 multiplier).

Crow

Source: Digging Quest

Ability: Boosts growth speed of spooky plants in a 30-stud radius by 1.5x.

Goblin

Source: Digging Quest

Ability: Every 5 minutes, kidnaps another random player and brings them to you.

Type: Cosmetic/fun pet.

Hex Serpent

Source: Digging Quest (2% chance)

Ability: If you have 5 harvestable plants placed in a Hex Circle cosmetic, it performs a ritual every 12 minutes and grants random rewards.

Notes: Currently bugged, but expected to reward high-tier loot.

Ghostly Dark Sprion

Source: Halloween Pack (400 Robux)

Ability: Every 11 minutes, spreads roots that:

Give nearby fruits a 30% chance for Blight mutation

Small chance for Necrotic mutation (new mutation).

Comparison: Stronger than normal Sprion but premium-only.

8. Cosmetic & Premium Additions

Hex Circle Cosmetic: Required for the Hex Serpent pet ritual.

Halloween Lights and Pumpkin Set: New decorative pieces for your garden.

Twilight Pack: Includes a Bat Collar Charm and Ghostly Dark Sprion pet.

Halloween Forever Pack: Limited-time Halloween bundle with themed cosmetics and boosts.

The Ghoul Garden Part 2 update builds heavily on Part 1’s foundation — turning Grow a Garden’s Halloween event into a full-blown farming-fantasy crossover. Between the Dead Tree’s rare quests, the new digging system, and the premium Ghostly Sprion pet, there’s a lot to grind and experiment with.
