I’m currently playing on both CN server (夜樱想下班@S52) and Global server (Eroleice @S1). When I play this game for the first time, I don’t know how, when and where to spend my money efficiently and it cost me some time and money to figure that out. I decided to make this Go Go Muffin Spending Guide to help people having the same problem. I hope this will give you some help and we shall play this game for a long time!
Go Go Muffin Spending Guide
Gems Earning
- You have couple ways getting gems:
- Main story, achievements, perilous rewards, etc. Those are one-time rewards.
- Dragon bounty, daily shop free chest, monthly pass, etc. Those are daily rewards.
- Events opening on roulette. Those are event-based one-time rewards.
I didn’t do the calculation precisely, but based on my experience, you should be able to earn 600-700ish gems per day.
Making plan based on Paper Airplane Event
Paper Airplane is a weekly event coming out a couple days after the server opening. Basically you earn points from doing daily quests and doing gotchas. You earn 700 points free from doing daily activities and you need to do gotchas for the rest. If you spend gems on pulling skills or melomons (or others), you earn 1 point for each 10 gems you spend. 9000 points is the cap for each Paper Airplane Event.
However, based on your budget, you DO NOT have to maximize all Paper Airplane Events, since each week the rewards are different and you should spend your money and resources on the one that gives better rewards (some rewards are unique!). Based on my experience, the priorities are: (those are week numbers)

If you’re a F2P player, you should only do the ones from the last row and better skip all others – by “skip” I mean only to daily quests and save as much resource as you can. Based on my own experience, if you spend about $400-$500 per month and use them efficiently, you should be able to get all the T5 rewards on the list.
Eg. If you are a F2P player, you should skip week 1, and do week 2, skip week 3 and 4, then do week 5, etc. In this way you probably have a tough week 1 since you’re saving all the mats and pulls, but you would save over a hundred dollars on week 2.
Purchasing daily resource
There are some resources you can get mainly from daily reset and daily purchasing with a cap. It’s important to determine how many times you purchase per day since the price goes up while you are purchasing. There are 4 things you need to purchase per day – move, ride, artifact and “cat bun” (sorry the translation doesn’t come out yet). Here the price table: (price is cumulative, these content will unlock through game procession, you may not see them all yet)
Times | Move | Ride | Artifact | Cat bun |
1 | 20 | 30 | 30 | 30 |
2 | 50 | 60 | 80 | 80 |
3 | 100 | 110 | 160 | 160 |
4 | 180 | 190 | 280 | 280 |
5 | 280 | 310 | 430 | 430 |
6 | 380 | 460 | 580 | 630 |
7 | 480 | 660 | 730 | 880 |
8 | 630 | 910 | 950 | 1180 |
9 | 780 | 1210 | 1170 | 1480 |
10 | 930 | – | 1390 | – |
11 | 1080 | – | 1610 | – |
12 | 1280 | – | 1910 | – |
13 | 1480 | – | 2210 | – |
14 | 1680 | – | 2510 | – |
15 | 1880 | – | 2810 | – |
For F2P players, I’d suggest at least buying 3/3/3/3 for each every day, which would cost you only 530 gems per day and you can save some gems for melomon and skill. I currently do 5/5/4/4 on my CN account and I feel comfortable with it – it requires you to buy gems with $ tho.
- Move: later you have to spend 1500 “Luens” per day on average while you earn 480 for free per day. An artifact gives you a small chance to double that. So never be afraid of taking this.
- Ride: rides give you a good amount of power but it actually doesn’t give you the damage boost worth the power.
- Artifacts: they are important, but buying 4-5 times per day is good enough for you to unlock all the artifacts for bonus stats.
- Cat bun: it’s a pure RNG game so just buy some, but not much.
You should decide your purchasing plan based on how much gems you earn and buy.
Spending on paper plane event
For the pp event every week, there’s a event store where you can buy 2 chests with 2500 gems in total, which is worth to buy. So consider that as a weekly cost.
Gotchas
Skills
skill star level gives you tons of damage boost on gold star level 3, however many of your skills are useless when you enter the next tier. I’d suggest you buy skill gotcha with gems after Tier2 or Tier3.
Melomon
Melomon is the most important thing, as well as the best investment in this game. Currently you can unlock T0 melomons and there will be T4 melomons – new melomons come out when you hit T4 level 44 so we call it T4 melomons. Since most T0 melomons are overpowered by T4 melomons, only demon hunts are useful after you hit T4 level 44. I may write a whole section to explain this in the future but I’ll put the conclusion here:
Based on your budget, there are 3 thresholds for how many demon melomons you should get before T4 melomons come out (it will take about 6 months): 13, 21 or 29.
You can get target melomons from:
Gotcha, there are time events that you can set your “wish melomons” which gives you 50% chance of getting the one you choose if you get a legendary melomon, the wish list has 3 spots. This event should come out about one and half months after the last one finished.
Guild Wishing Wall, 1 shard per 6 days which means 30 days for a whole melomon.
Paper Airplane Event, T5 rewards from week 3, 6, 10, 15, 19, 24.
Special offers or special event rewards.
For myself, I only spend 3 of my “wishes” (a full list) for healing spells rather than demon hunts and I barely made it to 29 demon hunts on time. I’ve spent about $3,500 for the 4 and half months I’ve played.
Daily shop purchase
I recommend buying star EXP and pet food with gold, and buying snacks, promote stone, exp boosters with gems.
You can stop buying exp boosters if you’ve saved over 100 of them.
You should start buying the 50% off gold chest after hitting T2. This chest gives you more gold while you pushing you main story stage but the price won’t change, so it’s better to buy it later rather than at the beginning.
