Skill Breakdown & Tiers (with Detailed Explanation)

S Tier Skills (Top of the Meta)

1. Thunderbolt (S Tier)

Type: Electric Damage
Strengths:

  • Hits in a vertical line across the entire screen.

  • Unlock Chain Lightning to bounce and hit multiple enemies.

  • Can paralyze enemies with upgrades.

  • Massive crowd control potential.

Why It’s S Tier:
With Chain Lightning and paralysis, Thunderbolt can stun-lock and damage dozens of enemies at once — softening up entire waves before they reach your base.

2. Beam (S Tier)

Type: Laser
Strengths:

  • High impact damage.

  • Prioritizes enemies closest to your base.

  • Unlock Beam Refraction to bounce and hit multiple enemies.

  • Long attack range.

Why It’s S Tier:
Beam is a base protector, automatically taking out the biggest threats before they land hits. With upgrades, it’s constantly zapping up to 3 enemies at once.

3. Firewheel Drone (S Tier)

Type: Continuous Area Damage
Strengths:

  • Stays on screen for up to 18 seconds.

  • Bounces off walls and hits multiple targets.

  • Extremely effective against bosses.

  • Unlocks mini drones and blazing trails for splash damage.

Why It’s S Tier:
It’s basically a mobile death zone. Firewheel dominates endgame waves with its huge area denial and splash damage — especially when sized up.

4. Hive (S Tier)

Type: Wasp Drone
Strengths:

  • Deploys aggressive homing wasps.

  • High impact damage per shot.

  • Unlocks Wasp 2 and Wasp 3 for stronger attacks.

  • Combos well with slow effects like the Disruption Drone.

Why It’s S Tier:
It’s the ultimate single-target and mini-boss killer — especially deadly when enemies are slowed and can’t outrun the drones.

A Tier Skills

5. Disruption Drone (A Tier)

Type: Force Field / Support
Strengths:

  • Creates a horizontal slow field.

  • Deals damage over time.

  • Dispels invisibility.

  • Buffs all other damage skills by giving them more time.

Why It’s A Tier:
While it doesn’t deal much direct damage, it’s a team-player skill. By slowing down enemies, it boosts the effectiveness of all your S-tier damage turrets.

B Tier Skills

6. Arrow Blast (B+ Tier)

Type: Physical Damage
Strengths:

  • High impact and explosion damage.

  • Can lay aerial mines.

  • Targets the closest enemy.

Why B+:
It’s better than Sky Guard thanks to its raw damage, but its range is lower. Great mid-tier option for physical burst damage.

7. Sky Guard (B Tier)

Type: Missile
Strengths:

  • Fires missiles with high impact and explosion damage.

  • Decent range.

  • Can fire multiple missiles when upgraded.

Why B Tier:
Solid starter skill, but lacks the flexibility and power of top-tier turrets.

C Tier Skills (Avoid If You Can)

8. Laser (C Tier)

Type: Piercing Beam
Weaknesses:

  • Random aim.

  • Very low impact damage.

  • Damage over time isn’t impressive.

Why C Tier:
It looks cool but does very little in practice. Unreliable and weak.

9. Rail Gun (C Tier)

Type: Physical / Piercing
Weaknesses:

  • Short range.

  • Penetrates just two enemies.

  • Gets overshadowed by better skills like Beam or Arrow Blast.

Why C Tier:
When your other skills are already deleting enemies, Rail Gun becomes dead weight. Great on paper, bad in actual use.

Best Loadout for Any Stage

Here’s the most effective skill combination for clearing all stages:

Top Recommended Loadout:

  • Thunderbolt – Crowd Control & Paralysis

  • Beam – High DPS vs Closest Enemies

  • Firewheel Drone – Massive AoE + Boss Killer

  • Hive – Fast-Tracking Single Target Damage

Early Game Start:

  • Open with Beam and Hive — excellent at targeting enemies before they even reach your base.

Mid to Late Game Strategy:

  • Add Thunderbolt for mass wave control.

  • Deploy Firewheel once the crowd builds up — it’ll melt through hordes like butter.

That’s your complete Galaxy Defense skill & turret tier list and best loadout guide. Equip the right tools, play smart, and you’ll cruise through even the hardest stages.
