Tidefall is one of the largest exploration-focused updates Fisch has ever received. Instead of just adding new fish or rods, this update introduces an entirely new deep-sea region, story-driven progression, special mechanics, and endgame equipment that changes how players approach fishing and exploration. It is not a casual map, it is meant for players who are ready to dive deeper, grind harder, and solve environmental challenges.
NEW TIDEFALL MAP AND THE LOST DIVER QUEST
To access Tidefall properly, you first need to prove yourself worthy by completing obelisk tasks scattered around the area. These obelisks act like trial points that unlock deeper sections of the map.
When you arrive, you will meet the Deep Diver NPC who hints that something dangerous and mysterious is hiding below. This sets up the main storyline of the update. The quest does not hand you answers immediately, instead you are encouraged to explore, investigate, and piece things together yourself.
At the bottom of Tidefall, you will discover a submerged submarine and a lost diver. Speaking to him reveals that something went wrong underground, but you cannot proceed right away. You must first report what you found and complete certain obelisk objectives before gaining full access to the deeper secrets.
This structure makes the update feel more like an adventure than a simple fishing grind.
NEW RODS AND SPEARS
A variety of new rods have been added specifically for Tidefall, and most of them are clearly designed for endgame players. Some can be crafted, while others must be discovered through exploration or quests.
These rods are stronger, more specialized, and built around deep-sea fishing mechanics. If you have been using basic or mid-tier rods, Tidefall equipment is meant to replace them entirely.
New spears were also introduced, expanding combat and hunting options in underwater environments. This suggests that fishing alone is not enough in Tidefall, you need proper tools for survival and interaction.
NEW CRAB CAGES AND HUNTS
Crab cages have been updated, giving players more efficient ways to farm underwater resources. This is especially useful in Tidefall, where normal fishing can be more dangerous or limited.
New hunts were added as well, encouraging players to actively search for rare creatures rather than just sit in one spot and fish. This makes gameplay more dynamic and rewarding.
TIME APPRAISER AND INFUSION ALTAR
A brand-new appraiser NPC has arrived, called the Time Appraiser. Unlike the normal appraiser, this one deals with deeper, more permanent modifications.
The Infusion Altar allows you to permanently modify your rod’s stats. This is extremely powerful but also very expensive, meaning you need to carefully decide which rod is truly worth upgrading.
This system shifts Fisch from simple progression to true build crafting, where your gear choices matter long-term.
FIVE NEW BEASTIARIES AND NATURAL EVENT
Five new bestiaries were added, expanding the collection system and giving completionists more goals to chase.
A new natural event was also introduced, making the world of Fisch feel more alive and unpredictable. These events likely affect fish behavior, tides, or environmental conditions, adding variety to gameplay.
