The Sweet Stinger Rod is one of the rods introduced in the Lost Jungle expansion of Fisch. At first glance it might look like a filler rod compared to some of the bigger rods in the update, but once players started using it, many realized it is actually surprisingly strong for how easy it is to obtain.
If you are exploring the new jungle areas, this rod is one of the quicker upgrades you can unlock.
Where to Find the Sweet Stinger Rod
The rod is located in the Nectar Den, a sub-area within the Lost Jungle expansion.
To reach it, you need to progress through the new update areas first.
Basic path to the location:
- Enter the Lost Jungle expansion area.
- Progress until you unlock the second region.
- Travel to the Living Garden.
- Look for an entrance marked Nectar Koi Abundance.
- Walk through the large leaves nearby.
After going through the leaves, you will enter the Nectar Den, where the Sweet Stinger Rod can be obtained.
Requirement to Unlock the Rod
Unlike many rods that require currency or quests, the Sweet Stinger Rod is unlocked by completing the Nectar Den Bestiary.
To unlock it you must:
Reach 100% completion of the Nectar Den Bestiary.
The good news is that this Bestiary is relatively small compared to others in the update.
You only need to catch around seven different fish species, making it one of the easier Bestiaries to complete.
Some of the fish appear normally, while others may spawn during hunt events.
Nectar Den Hunt Spawn
One of the notable catches in this area is the Queen Bee Serpent.
This fish appears during a hunt-style spawn inside a special honey-colored pool in the Nectar Den.
Unlike large global hunts, this one simply appears as a small special fishing pool.
When it spawns:
- Players can fish directly from the pool
- Multiple players can catch the fish before the event ends
- It helps complete the Bestiary requirement quickly
Because the Bestiary is small, catching this hunt fish often completes the entire entry list.
Buying the Sweet Stinger Rod
Once the Nectar Den Bestiary is fully completed, the rod becomes available nearby.
Cost of the rod:
300,000 currency
Compared to many other rods in the update, this price is extremely cheap.
Sweet Stinger Rod Stats
The rod comes with the following stats:
- Lure Speed: 180%
- Luck: 172%
- Control: 0.14
- Resilience: -10%
- Max Weight: Infinite KG
Even though the resilience is slightly negative, the other stats make it very usable.
The infinite weight limit is especially useful when catching large fish.
Sweet Stinger Rod Passive Ability
The rod also has several interesting passive mechanics.
Honey Mutation
The rod frequently applies a Honey mutation to fish you catch.
Honey mutation increases fish value, making catches significantly more profitable.
Estimated value multiplier is roughly 8x–9x, which is quite strong for money farming.
Automatic Fish Catch
Another passive ability occasionally triggers where bees harvest a fish for you automatically.
This happens roughly every 1–2 minutes, and the rod will catch a random fish without you actively fishing.
It is essentially free extra catches while you continue fishing normally.
Slash Catch Effect
The rod also has a visible slash effect while fishing.
This acts similarly to piercing mechanics, helping the rod catch fish faster or more efficiently during certain situations.
Combined with its high lure speed, this makes fishing feel quick and responsive.
Hunt Focus Bonus
The rod also includes Hunt Focus, which improves performance during hunt events.
Because many rare fish in the Lost Jungle update spawn during hunts, this bonus can be helpful when farming event creatures.
The Sweet Stinger Rod is one of the most accessible rods in the Lost Jungle expansion. Unlike rods that require massive Bestiary completion or expensive purchases, this one can be unlocked fairly quickly once you reach the Nectar Den.
Because of its honey mutation and passive fishing mechanic, it is especially useful for players who want a reliable rod for farming fish value without investing huge amounts of time or currency.
