Want to catch the brand-new limited fish in FISCH Second Sea? The Animal Pool and Octophant Pool have arrived—and this Fisch Octophant Boss Fight, Animal Pool Update Guide will walk you through exactly how to find them, what to expect, and the best strategies to farm XP, complete your bestiary, and earn thousands of credits.
Getting to the Animal Pool
Step 1: Spawn Lion’s Fury Boat
The Elephant’s Raft looks cool but is slow and not ideal. Use the Lion’s Fury instead—it’s fast, has good steering, and will get you where you need to go quickly.
Step 2: Head Toward Lush Grove
From the map, look for Lush Grove—the Animal Pool spawns near this island. Activate your Fish Radar and look for the “Animals” pool to appear nearby.
Step 3: Start Fishing the Animal Pool
Once it spawns:
-
Equip your best fishing rod (if you don’t have one, grind 70% of Bestiary at Isle of Beginnings to unlock a great rod for 200k C2 credits).
-
Use Clever Enchant if possible for boosted XP.
-
Fish fast! The pool only stays active for ~5 minutes.
đź’ˇ Pro Tip: Equip Fish Head gear to boost your luck before fishing rare variants.
Unlocking the Octophant Pool
Step 1: Stay at Lush Grove
You don’t need to move far—this pool also spawns near Lush Grove. Use your Tempest Totem to trigger stormy weather, which increases the chance of the pool spawning.
Optional: Use the Smoke Screen Totem to clear existing weather if the spawn fails.
Step 2: Wait for Notification
Once the Octophant Pool spawns, you’ll get a server message:
“Elephant Octopus has been spotted near Lush Grove.”
Use your Fish Radar to pinpoint its exact location.
Breaking the Shield: Octophant Boss Fight
When you arrive at the pool, you’ll notice a bubble shield around it that says “Unfishable.” You must break the shield before you can catch anything.
Step 1: Fish the Pool to Deal Damage
Each catch lowers the bubble’s HP. Your goal is to catch 25 fish to fully drop the shield.
Step 2: Use Low-Luck Bait for Speed
-
Equip Garbage Bait to make fishing faster.
-
Each catch damages the shield. The more players helping, the quicker it breaks.
💡 Note: You’ll be racing against time. The bubble despawns if not broken quickly, so be efficient.
Catching the Octophant
Once the bubble drops:
Equip Golden Worm Bait (if available—it’s the Octophant’s favorite bait).
Start fishing immediately.
The Octophant is not a hard catch—it’s easier than some regular high-tier fish like Orcanda.
Keep fishing until you see:
“Mosaic Octophant” or “Octophant” appear.
These are the rare variants you’re after!
Rewards & XP
Bestiary Progress:
Animal Pool: Has around 10 fish. You’ll need to fish fast to complete it before despawn.

Basic Octophant = ~26,000 credits
Mosaic Variant = ~36,000 credits
In ~20 minutes of grinding:
Total Earned = ~66,000 credits

Catching in these pools gives 1,500–3,000 XP per fish. In just an hour, the video creator leveled up from ~754 to 759, which shows how efficient this method can be.
