This update in Fisch isn’t huge in size, but it actually adds some very important systems, especially for progression players. We got new rods, a new enchantment, quality-of-life improvements, and trading upgrades that affect how we play every day.
Let’s break everything down clearly so you know exactly what’s new and what matters most.
New Rods Added in This Update
The biggest highlight of the update is that we now have two new rods to chase.
1. Random Rod (Main Progression Rod)
This is the biggest addition.
Unlike normal rods, we can’t just buy it from a fixed shop anymore.
Instead, the Random Rod now:
- Spawns somewhere randomly in the sea
- Has a different price in every server
- Changes location over time
So we actually have to explore or server-hop to find it.
Why It Matters
This rod is very important because:
- It’s part of late-game rod progression
- It’s often required before unlocking higher-tier rods
- It’s one of the final rods many players are missing
Because of that, it’s basically a must-get for serious players.
2. Music Venue Rod (New NPC Rod)
There’s also a brand-new rod connected to the Music Venue area.
A mysterious new performer NPC has appeared there, and this rod is tied to that content.
What we know:
- It’s obtained through the new venue member
- Likely connected to quests or interaction
- Designed as a unique themed rod
This addition mainly expands the game world and adds more collectible progression.
New Enchantment – Vicious
A brand-new secondary enchantment has been added.
This enchant is exclusive to Cosmic Relics.
What It Does
Vicious boosts:
- Disturbance
- Progress speed
This makes fishing faster and more efficient, especially for late-game grinding.
It’s mainly useful for players who already have strong relic setups.
Fish Radar Quality-of-Life Change
This is one of the most convenient updates.
Before this patch:
We had to toggle the Fish Radar every time we rejoined.
Now:
- We only need to toggle it once
- The setting saves permanently
This small change removes a lot of daily annoyance.
Radio Gamepass Replacement
The old Radio Gamepass has been replaced by new items.
Players now get:
- Boombox
- Party Boat
If we owned the old Radio pass, we automatically receive these plus a legacy version of the original radio.
This new system makes playing music more social and interactive.
Trade Plaza Server Browser
Trading just became much easier.
We can now:
- Browse Trade Plaza servers
- See information about each server
- Quickly switch between them
This helps us find better trades much faster.
Miscellaneous Balance Changes
There are also several smaller but important adjustments.
Masterline Rod now:
- Can fish in any liquid
- Has improved Blessed rates
Only one Atomic Nuke can be active per server now.
A new hidden title was added for dying to falling dripstone.
New Code
We can redeem this code:
ValentinesOver
It gives a free rod skin reward.
Always redeem codes quickly before they expire.
What This Update Focuses On
This patch mainly improves:
Late-game rod progression
Trading convenience
Fishing efficiency
Exploration mechanics
It also prepares the game for larger upcoming updates.
Biggest Things We Should Focus On First
If we want to progress efficiently, we should prioritize:
Finding the Random Rod
Unlocking the Music Venue rod
Trying to obtain the Vicious enchant
Using the new Trade Plaza browser for better trades
These give the most long-term benefits.
