The Astraeus update quietly slipped into Fisch, but it actually brings a surprising amount of content, secret mechanics, and limited rewards that you do not want to miss. This update focuses on exclusive Black Market items, new mastery progression, rare holiday skins, and a major future rework already confirmed by the developers.
Here is everything you need to know.
Astraeus – The Cursed Star Teaser
The update opens with a mysterious teaser called Astraeus. It hints at a new cursed zone somewhere in the northern region of the map, tied to a hidden melody beneath the stars. While the full event is not yet accessible, this teaser strongly suggests that a secret area, questline, or boss encounter is being prepared for the upcoming major update.
This is your first sign that Fisch is about to expand its lore and exploration system in a much bigger way.
Limited Black Market Items
Three brand new limited items have been added to the Black Market, which is located inside the Underground Music Venue. These items are only available for a short time and provide powerful temporary advantages.
Regeneration Coil
This coil slowly restores your health while equipped. It is extremely useful for longer farming sessions, dangerous exploration routes, and upcoming endgame areas where sustained survivability will matter more than raw damage.
Snowy Gravity Coil
This coil gives you increased control while moving and jumping, making parkour sections, vertical areas, and fast repositioning much easier. It feels especially tuned for future map expansions and secret zones.
Hot Chocolate
Hot Chocolate acts as a limited consumable that provides a temporary stat boost. It is designed to give players a short power spike for difficult challenges, timed quests, or speed-farming sessions.
These items are limited stock, so once they rotate out, they may not return for a long time.
Fabulous Rod Mastery Rework
The Fabulous Rod now has new mastery challenges that push it beyond its previous cap. Completing these challenges unlocks a stronger upgraded variant of the rod, giving it improved performance and better long-term value for endgame players.
Developers have also hinted at a larger mastery quest rework that could apply to multiple rods in the future. This means progression systems in Fisch are about to become deeper, more rewarding, and more skill-based instead of pure grinding.
If you own the Fabulous Rod, this is the best time to start leveling it seriously.
Christmas OG Skins for Classic Rods
A limited-time reward has been released for original owners of several classic rods. These are exclusive holiday-themed skins that cannot be purchased or traded.
The following rods receive OG Christmas skins:
Astralhook Rod
Polaris Serenade
Fabulous Rod
Wingripper
Tryhard Rod
All eligible players will automatically receive their skins simply by logging in. This reward is only available until January 25th, making it one of the rarest cosmetic collections in the game.
Once this window closes, these skins may never return.
Free Reward Code
Make sure to redeem the new code:
Astraeus
This code grants bonus rewards and is tied directly to the current update. It may also be required for upcoming quests related to the Astraeus storyline.
Major Trade Plaza Rework Confirmed
The developers have officially confirmed that a complete Trade Plaza rework is in development, along with a major content update scheduled for January 17th.
This rework is expected to improve trading systems, UI flow, player economy balance, and may introduce new trade-only items, black market expansions, and social trading features.
In simple terms, Fisch is about to receive one of its biggest progression and economy updates yet.
