DemonFall Update 5.6 just dropped, and while it doesn’t bring new content or flashy additions, it does address a long list of game-breaking bugs and quality-of-life issues. If you’ve been frustrated by cooldown exploits, broken boss fights, or shift lock acting up—this update is for you.
Let’s dive into everything that was fixed in Patch 5.6, what it means for gameplay, and what players should test now that the patch is live.
DemonFall Update 5.6
This patch focuses on bug fixes across all platforms—PC, console, and mobile. From cooldown glitches to infinite boss life bugs, here’s what got cleaned up:
Cooldown & Skill Exploits Fixed
Raid cooldowns now function correctly. You can’t spam raids anymore.
Thunder and Dark Thunder cooldowns were bugged and are now fixed.
Resetting skill cooldowns via exploits has been patched.
Kendo Mastery no longer consumes stamina unnecessarily.
These changes bring more fairness to PvP and ranked play. Skills now have proper cooldown enforcement, so no more spamming or sneaky stamina tricks.
Shift Lock & Control Fixes
Shift Lock on Mobile and Console has been fully repaired.
A bug where Shift Lock caused menus to slide has been patched.
Walking during ragdoll (Shift Lock on mobile) has been removed.
Broken legs animation on low FPS is now resolved.
These improvements make the game far more playable on non-PC platforms and remove immersion-breaking visual bugs.
Weapon & Combat Fixes
The Serpent Sword now deals damage again and no longer traps players in place.
The Dragon Sun Halo attack functions correctly.
Sound Swords now properly appear on the player’s back.
These weapon-specific fixes are especially important for PvP balance. Players using Serpent or Thunder styles should definitely test these again.
Boss Bugs Squashed
Several bosses were straight-up invincible in the last patch. That’s over now:
Rui, Blue Demon, and Gyutaro all had infinite life bugs—now fixed.
You can finally defeat these bosses again and complete related content properly.
If you’ve been skipping boss fights due to these bugs, now’s the time to dive back in.
Ranked Mode Improvements
Double executions in Ranked are no longer possible.
Carry ability in Ranked was bugged, but is now functional.
STW infinite range has been corrected.
Ranked mode is now more competitive and less exploit-prone. These changes should bring back some much-needed fairness to high-skill matches.

Display & UI Fixes
- Damage numbers now actually display when hitting enemies.
- Menu shifting and other UI bugs tied to shift lock have been repaired.
Seeing your damage in real-time and having a stable UI might seem minor, but they go a long way toward improving the core gameplay experience.
Patch 5.6 isn’t a flashy content drop, but it’s a critical bug-fix update that stabilizes DemonFall across all platforms. If you’ve been avoiding Ranked, frustrated with cooldown glitches, or stuck fighting unkillable bosses, this patch brings serious relief.
There’s still no word on new breathing styles or story content—but these backend fixes are a strong sign that the devs are laying the groundwork for bigger updates to come.
