The long-awaited Demonfall Update 5.5 has arrived, and it’s one of the biggest patches the game has seen. With two major breathing reworks, balance changes across nearly every style, a reworked ranked mode, massive bug fixes, and huge improvements to performance, this update really makes Demonfall feel fresh again.

This patch cleaned up a massive list of bugs:
Game-breaking bugs: NaN HP, NaN Money, Infinite Items, combat log server changes, double jump damage, crow quest, party bug, and public raid issues.
Missions & Raids: Kokushibo raid fixed, Mizunoto fights working, missions no longer crash private/public servers.
Combat Fixes: Death Decoy infinite bug fixed, crafted katana properly displays without respawn, ragdoll fling reduced, random combat logging removed, fall damage consistent across FPS.
Animations & Controls: Water/environment animations corrected, animation blending fixed for smoother M1s, Sister Kick teleports properly, Shoulder Bash costs consistent SP.
Exploit Fixes: Major exploits patched, including bugs with carrying/gripping and unintended skill loops.
Optimizations & Performance
Interaction system reworked for reduced lag.
FPS improvements across the board, especially on lower-end PCs.
See T World now shows performance boosts and distinct colors for different races.
Multiple backend system upgrades to stabilize servers.

Spawns
- Temporary safe zone for 5 seconds on spawn.
- Spawn with full health and stomach.
- Starter health & passives increased for Slayers and Demons:
- Old: 120 → 150 → 170 → 180 → 220
- New: 150 → 175 → 200 → 215 → 250
Breathing Adjustments
- Moon Breathing:
- Dark Moon cooldown 30s.
- Spirit Calamitous Eddy knockback increased.
- Half Moon cooldown 2m with mechanics adjusted.
- Catastrophe cooldown 50s.
- Loathsome Moon cooldown 30s.
- Thunder Breathing:
- Thunder Swarm hit damage 2.5 → 4.
- Rice Spirit cooldown 40s.
- Wind Breathing:
- Dust Claw, Gale Slash, Purifying Wind startup reduced ~25%.
- Purifying Wind damage ticks 2.2 → 2.5.
- Typhoon cooldown 25s (down).
- Breath requirement reduced to 20.
- Stone Breathing:
- Multiple cooldowns increased, damage reduced, stun durations cut.
- Stone Mountain slower windup, but lower cooldown.
- Flower Breathing:
- Petals Dance ragdoll removed, stun reduced (1.6s → 1.1s).
- Sun Breathing:
- Dragon Sun Halo Dance now blockable.
- Flash Dance damage 30 → 20.
- Beneficent Radiance tick 8 → 6.5.
- Insect Breathing:
- Butterfly Pure 23 → 30 damage.
- Poison damage 2.25 → 2.5.
Blood Demon Art (BDA) Adjustments
Obi BDA: Rage cooldown 200s → 160s, heal buffed, iframes added, M1/M2 speed +25%.
Arrow BDA: Arrow distance doubled (400 → 800), volley cooldown reduced (50s → 40s), punishment damage 11 → 20.
Swamp BDA: Swamp Grab blockable, Swamp Punch 28 → 18 damage, Swamp Dig cooldown 15s → 20s.
Nezuko BDA: Sister Kick damage 20, cooldown 45s, Heat Floor damage 33 → 20.
Dark Thunder BDA: Dash stamina removed on Thundergod, distance increased.
Shadow BDA: Dismiss cooldown 75s → 60s, Consume hunger steal +2, Rage pure damage 30 → 40.
Ice BDA: Surf stamina cost 60 → 50, Vines 100 → 80, Counter regens stamina on hit.
Nichirin Buffs
General Buffs
- Default Nichirin Damage: 4
- Kendo Mastery: No stamina needed for M1s.
Slayer Nichirin Bonuses
- Flame: +50% M1, +100% passive flame damage.
- Wind: +75% M1, +1 speed.
- Water: +50% M1, +10% skill damage.
- Mist: +75% M1, chance to blur enemy screen.
- Thunder: +50% M1, -25% skill cooldowns.
- Snake: +50% M1, +10% skill damage.
- Kamado: +100% M1.
- Moon: +50% M1, +100% M2 (fires a slash, faster cast).
- Dark Thunder: +85% M1.
- Future Nichirins: Beast, Sound, Insect, Love, Stone (currently +50% M1, unique passives coming soon).
Demon Combat Buffs
- Default Combat: 5 M1 damage.
- Soryuu Combat: 6 M1 damage.
- Temari Combat: 12 (+2) M1 damage.
