Having lots of success with Barbarian and wanted to share my play style with you all, hoping it might bump you up a few chapters!
❗ Note: In order to try this build, you need a lvl 7 Barbarian with the Return Damage perk ❗
This Cup Heroes Barbarian Build guide is for Barbarian. The idea is to combine life steal/defense and reflect to defeat enemies. This approach is especially useful in later chapters, where your damage is low compared to enemy health.
Gear Items
Core:
- Warrior’s Weapon: Life steal sustains you through the game.
- Warrior Gloves: Power boost to keep up with damage taken for effective life steal.
- Warrior Ring: Purely for bonus projectile; doubles your damage output and life steal.
- Collector’s Helmet: +1 pick on start (take defense).
Optional Gear I Use:
- Tactician Armor
- Tactician Boots
Perks
Note: This build works at hero lvl 7; you may want to save resources for other heroes.

Card Priority
Which Cards to Pick First?
A Tier
- Yellow Defense Card > Blue Defense Card > White Defense Card
Best picks for this build (probably any build where enemies start one-shotting you without it).Don’t hesitate to re-roll your card to get more defense; this is your core strength.
B Tier
- Starting Balls/Bonus Multiplier: Handy for stacking balls for re-rolling cards/buying expensive ones.
- Multi-Attack Chance Card: Chance to attack twice is great for sustainability; life steal keeps health up.
- 20% Damage Reduction
- Rage Attack: Stack these when A-tier cards aren’t available.
- Rage Life Steal
- Raging Axe
- Move Speed
- Heal Cards: Take if health starts to drop. Usually, Barbarian performs better through waves, so the first 4-6 waves might be about survival.
- Fury
C Tier (not worthy as top picks)
- Attack Booster
- Health Boosters
- Crit Chance
- Other unmentioned cards
