The Online World Update for Arise brings a large expansion across nearly every part of the game. From a brand-new island to deeper guild progression and a major rework to how players earn resources, this update adds meaningful progression opportunities for both early-game and veteran players.
This guide covers every feature in detail so you can make the most of the new content.
New Online World Island
A completely new island based on the Online World theme is now available. The environment resembles a fantasy MMO hub, combining town elements, themed structures, and updated visuals. It includes ten new quests, eight new shadows, and seven new weapons designed around the crossover. Alongside the questline, the island features a new dungeon map and introduces a new world boss. Expect encounters that demand stronger builds than previous islands.
Players who enjoy exploring new maps will appreciate the polished visual work and the denser quest structure. Since this world contributes heavily to token generation and shadow progression, it becomes an immediate priority for anyone pushing levels or looking to expand their roster.
New Dungeon and Relic
The Online World dungeon introduces a new relic: the Luciator Fragment. This relic scales directly off shadow levels, making it one of the most important additions for players who rely on shadow builds. In previous updates, shadows plateaued around the mid-300 range and struggled to compete with weapon builds. With this relic, the ceiling for shadows rises noticeably, and high-investment shadow setups can now push well beyond their old limits.
HGM and HGM+ versions of the dungeon also arrive in this update. HGM dungeons offer a new progression tier, while HGM+ is limited to Red Gates only. Enemies in these ranks hit harder and have increased health, but reward greatly increased resources.
New Gacha: Online Guilds
A new gacha machine appears in Online Town. The theme is built around well-known guilds from the Arise crossover, and each pull provides buffs centered on weapon damage or shadow damage. One standout option is the Log Horizon buff, which grants a large shadow damage increase along with supporting multipliers. This gacha builds directly into the shadow versus weapon meta discussion and offers one of the most efficient ways to improve overall damage output.
Players can earn the tokens required for this gacha by completing Online Town dungeons. For players grinding pity or trying to speed up pulls, animation skipping is possible by repeatedly tapping the roll button. Auto-clickers on both mobile and PC allow the pity counter to rise faster than expected.
World Quests System
The World Quest system is one of the most significant additions in this update. Each island now features repeatable quests that can be accepted by speaking to the SpawnPoint NPC. Before accessing these quests on an island, players need to complete the Brutes Quest for that area.
Every completed World Quest awards a rune and, if the island supports them, tokens as well. These quests can be claimed with no cooldown, allowing players to chain them endlessly. Because each quest provides a meaningful amount of experience, runes, and tokens, this becomes one of the fastest leveling methods in the entire game.
In many cases, players can simply stand near the spawn point, accept the quest, complete the requirement, and repeat. The system can also be stacked across multiple worlds since there is no maximum number of saved quests.
This change effectively makes token farming available everywhere rather than being limited to a handful of maps.
New Dungeon Ranks: HGM and HGM+
Two new dungeon ranks have been added. HGM serves as the next step up from previous ranks, while HGM+ sits at the top and requires Red Gates to access. Rewards in both tiers scale sharply, allowing high-end players to farm more efficiently. Expect enemies with increased damage and higher health pools, requiring optimized damage setups and defensive layering to clear consistently.
Storage and Performance Improvements
All storage categories received an additional level tier. While the earlier tiers are accessible to most players, the final upgrade requirements are noticeably high, especially for tokens. Even for players at high levels, these storage upgrades will take time, but they are worthwhile due to the increased capacity.
The update also improves rendering performance by optimizing how pets are displayed. This reduces lag during combat and in crowded overworld zones. Several quests missing experience rewards were corrected, and multiple item icons were refreshed for clarity.
Guild Upgrade Expansion
Guilds receive one of their largest upgrades to date. All major power categories now scale higher, including shadow boosts, weapon boosts, gem bonuses, coin bonuses, and the number of shadow slots. These changes heavily benefit competitive guilds and push maximum player power significantly higher.
The new upgrade caps are as follows:
- Shadow Boost increased from 350 to 400
- Weapon Boost increased from 350 to 400
- Shadow Slots increased from 13 to 15
- Extra Relic increased from 9 to 10
- Coin Bonus increased to 300
- Gem Bonus increased to 300
The new tiers require substantial guild contributions. High-end guilds will see the largest gains, but even mid-level guilds benefit from having more progression milestones to work toward.
New Shadows and Weapons
Eight new shadows and seven new weapons are introduced across the Online World content. Some of the new shadows tie directly into the updated relic scaling, giving players more options for durable or damage-oriented shadow compositions. While weapons remain the meta choice for peak damage, shadows have closed part of the gap, especially when supported by the new relic and guild upgrades.
New World Boss
The new world boss, themed around the Arise Online crossover, appears in the Online World. This encounter scales with the update’s increased damage expectations. The fight serves as an excellent benchmark for checking build viability after swapping between weapon and shadow setups.
New Skin Bundles
Two new Online Skin Bundles are now available for purchase. Previous skin bundles have been removed, making these the primary cosmetic option for the current update cycle.
New Codes
Two new codes were released alongside the update:
- WORLDQUESTS
- ONLINEWORLD
Both provide useful tokens and boosters that pair well with the update’s new systems.
This is one of the largest and most impactful updates Arise has received in recent cycles. The Online World island delivers fresh content, while the World Quest system fundamentally changes how players grind experience and resources.
The new relic and gacha directly influence the weapon versus shadow discussion, pushing shadows back into competitive territory. Guild expansions and storage upgrades give both communities and solo players meaningful long-term goals, and the performance improvements make the entire experience smoother.
