Anime Auto Chess can feel overwhelming at first. There are many systems, currencies, menus, and mechanics all introduced at once. This Anime Auto Chess Beginner Guide breaks everything down step by step, explaining what each feature does, why it matters, and how beginners should approach the game without making early mistakes.

Anime Auto Chess Beginner Guide – Maps, Acts, and Difficulties

Anime Auto Chess is a strategic auto-battler where you build a team of anime units, equip them with gear, upgrade their stats, and position them correctly on the board. Success depends on smart progression, proper stat investment, and understanding which systems are worth focusing on early.

You do not need to master everything immediately. The game rewards steady progress.

Night Market Explained (Gear & Currency Hub)

The Night Market is one of the most important areas for beginners.

Here you can:

  • Buy gear using coins
  • Exchange coins and gems
  • Occasionally find game passes (very expensive and optional)

Gear is extremely important because it directly boosts your unit’s damage, survivability, and scaling. Early on, focus on affordable gear and avoid wasting gems unless you know what you are buying.

Maps, Acts, and Difficulties

Anime Auto Chess features:

  • 4 Maps
  • Each map contains 6 Acts
  • Acts can be played on Normal, Hard, and Nightmare

Harder difficulties give better rewards, but beginners should clear Normal first to unlock systems and farm safely.

Endless & Clash Game Modes

There are two repeatable modes:

  • Endless Mode – Gives loot bags with currencies like coins, gems, dice, and rerolls
  • Limitless Clash – Gives Clash loot bags with powerful fragments and rare rewards

Endless is better for steady farming early. Clash is harder but more rewarding later.

Unit Evolution (EVO System)

Evolution allows you to upgrade a unit’s rarity.

To evolve a unit, you need:

  • Gems
  • Evolution materials from Story Mode

For example, an Epic unit can be evolved into a Legendary version with better stats. Beginners should only evolve units they plan to use long-term.

Traits, Stat Cubes, and Rerolls

Traits add special bonuses to units.

  • Trait rerolls let you gamble for better traits
  • Lower rarity traits are more common
  • Mythic traits are extremely rare

Stat Cubes and Stat Rerolls let you fine-tune stats like attack damage or health. This is a long-term system—do not overspend early.

Blacksmith and Souls

At the Blacksmith, you craft Souls, which function like advanced gear.

Souls are powerful and should be equipped on strong units. You unlock souls mainly through challenges and progression, not summoning.

Advancements (Tier Upgrades)

Advancements are different from leveling.

  • Advancing a unit increases its tier
  • Each tier is equivalent to multiple levels
  • Requires Souls, Gold, and materials

Advancements are very important for late-game scaling, but beginners should focus on leveling first.

Galaxy Way and Challenges

Challenges are one of the best sources of resources.

They reward:

  • Gems
  • Coins
  • Souls
  • Other progression items

Challenges are random and reset frequently. Completing them consistently speeds up progress massively.

Index Rewards

The Index tracks which units you have collected.

The more units and higher rarities you unlock, the more free gems and coins you earn. This rewards collection without forcing spending.

Summoning Units

Summoning is where you obtain new units.

Important notes:

  • You can sell unwanted units
  • There is a very small chance for secret units
  • Do not oversummon early; progression matters more

Summon carefully and build around what you already have.

Merchant (Armor & Defensive Gear)

The Merchant is where most of your armor comes from.

  • Most armor is purchased here
  • Legendary chests cost gems and give high-rarity gear

Armor is just as important as weapons, especially for tanks and frontline units.

Unit Management & Feeding

Inside the unit menu:

  • You can feed duplicate units to gain XP
  • Feeding is essential for leveling efficiently
  • Auto-upgrade and Sell All features save time

Always feed duplicates instead of letting them sit unused.

Stats & Gear Optimization

Every unit deals different types of damage:

  • Physical
  • Magic
  • Ability damage

Check the stats screen to see what your unit actually scales with. Never equip ability damage gear on a unit that does not use abilities.

Tanks should prioritize:

  • HP
  • Damage resistance

DPS units should prioritize:

  • Attack damage or magic damage
  • Crit stats if applicable

Quests and Battle Pass

Daily and Weekly quests:

  • Complete naturally while playing
  • Reward gems, battle pass XP, and loot bags

The Battle Pass includes:

  • Currency
  • Gear
  • Units (including exclusive ones)

Achievements also give huge amounts of gems and should never be ignored.

Story Mode Gameplay Basics

During gameplay:

  • Place tanks in front
  • DPS in the middle or back
  • Supports in the safest positions

Understanding positioning is just as important as stats.

You can:

  • Use 2x speed for free
  • Use 3x speed with a game pass
  • Earn rewards after each wave (not guaranteed every wave)

Combat Statistics Screen

This screen shows:

  • How much damage each unit deals
  • What damage types they use

Use this information to decide which stats and gear to focus on. This prevents wasted upgrades.

Beginner Progression Tips

  • Do not rush high difficulty maps
  • Focus on one strong team instead of many weak units
  • Complete challenges daily
  • Invest gear carefully
  • Learn stat scaling before rerolling traits

Anime Auto Chess is deep, complex, and very rewarding once understood. Beginners who focus on steady progression instead of rushing will advance much faster and avoid wasting resources.
