The new Swarm Event in Anime Rangers X has proven to be one of the toughest challenges yet, but with the right team, you can consistently clear it in two minutes or even faster. In this guide, we’ll break down the exact units, gear, and curses you’ll need, along with upgrade priorities and gameplay strategy to farm this event efficiently.

Why the Swarm Event Is Difficult

The Swarm Event throws wave after wave of enemies at you with little downtime. Most mid-game teams get overwhelmed because cooldowns aren’t optimized or because they focus on upgrading the wrong units. The strategy below aims to solve that problem by focusing on high burst, cooldown reduction, and strong buffers to shred waves quickly.

The Best 2-Minute Clear Team

Core Units and Builds

1. Primal Fusion

  • Gear: Celestial Crown, Flamingo, Flippers, Trident, Soul of Pure Agony (or Soul of Fire if available).
  • Notes: Plays more of a support role; gear can be flexible.

2. Omega Dragon Lord

  • Gear: Goggles, Flamingo, Flippers, Trident, Soul of Pure Agony or Soul of Fire.
  • Notes: Not critical to upgrade — useful mainly for additional DPS or testing builds.

3. Fingernail Saint

  • Gear: Full crit build, with Trident replacing Blacklight Sword for cooldown reduction.
  • Soul: Soul of Virtual.
  • Notes: Essential carry — cooldown optimization is the key here.

4. Thunder Goddess

  • Gear: Standard build with Soul of Thundering Fury.
  • Notes: Brings stuns and AoE damage. The soul effect boosts her damage while keeping enemies locked down.

5. Vampire Emperor

  • Gear: Goggles, Valkyrie, Flippers, Blacklight Reaver, Soul of Pure Agony (or Soul of Fire).
  • Notes: Needs ability cooldown curse to keep his skills up constantly.

6. Griffin

  • Gear: Goggles, Flamingo, Flippers, Blacklight Reaver, Soul of Infinite Riches (or its lesser version).
  • Notes: The team’s buffer — boosting damage across the board. Upgrade not required for this strat.

Recommended Curses

Curses are extremely important for hitting the two-minute mark. Focus on:

  • Vampire Emperor: Ability cooldown is a must.
  • Fingernail Saint: Prioritize cooldown, then any secondary stat.
  • Thunder Goddess: Cooldown first, secondary stat optional.
  • Omega Dragon Lord: Cooldown focus.
  • Primal Fusion: Flexible, cooldown and ability damage are fine.
  • Griffin: Cooldown + health (since his HP is what scales).

Upgrade Priority

When you enter the event, don’t waste resources upgrading everyone. Instead:

  1. Upgrade Thunder Goddess first.
  2. Upgrade Fingernail Saint second.
  3. Upgrade Vampire Emperor third.

Avoid upgrading Primal Fusion, Omega Dragon Lord, or Griffin — they function fine at base levels in this strategy.

Performance & Clear Times

With this build and curse setup, you should consistently get 2:00 clears, sometimes dipping to 1:57–2:05 depending on RNG and execution. That translates into excellent leaf farming and faster access to event rewards.

The creator also notes that teams are being tested for 1:30 clears, so expect further optimizations in the near future.

Concerns About the Update

While the strategy works, some players (including the creator) felt the update itself was underwhelming:

  • Promised buffs and reworks (like Berserker and Funny Valentine) didn’t happen.
  • Unit visuals and quality fell short of expectations.
  • The event may be too difficult for early and mid-game players, especially since Boros is rumored to be locked behind this event.

Hopefully, future patches will balance the mode for wider accessibility.

The Swarm Event is tough, but with the right setup, you can beat it in under two minutes consistently. The core idea is simple: stack cooldown reduction, upgrade the right DPS, and let Griffin buff your carries.

If you’re still struggling, try farming SAO stages for gear and souls before attempting this event. And don’t worry if you don’t have the exact setup — replacing Souls of Pure Agony with Souls of Fire works just fine.

TL;DR – 2-Minute Swarm Event Clear Team

  • Primal Fusion – support with Soul of Fire or Agony
  • Omega Dragon Lord – secondary DPS (not required to upgrade)
  • Fingernail Saint – main DPS, cooldown focus
  • Thunder Goddess – AoE + stuns, Soul of Thundering Fury
  • Vampire Emperor – heavy DPS, cooldown build
  • Griffin – buffer, Soul of Infinite Riches

Upgrade only Thunder Goddess, Fingernail Saint, and Vampire Emperor.
