Want to dominate in Warcraft 3 Direct Strike and make the best upgrade choices? This Warcraft 3 Direct Strike Upgrade Tier List (2100 MMR) breaks down the most powerful upgrades based on high-level gameplay at 2100 MMR.

Whether you’re looking for game-changing buffs, the best counters, or upgrades to avoid, this guide will help you maximize your strategy and climb the ranks faster. Let’s dive in!

Warcraft 3 Direct Strike Upgrade Tier List (2100 MMR)

S-Tier (Broken & Must-Have Upgrades)

Bloodlust – Best attack buff in the game, extremely strong.

Lightning Shield – Best early-game AOE damage, destroys low HP units.

Healing Ward (Tier 3) – Best healing in the game, makes good tanks nearly invulnerable.

Hardened Skin (MGs) – Cuts incoming damage in half, making MGs extremely tanky.

A-Tier (Very Strong, High Impact Upgrades)

Frenzy – Second-best attack buff, very strong tempo play at Tier 2.

Skeletal Upgrade (Necros, Tier 3) – Very strong if the opponent lacks AOE dispel.

Poison Spear – Great damage boost, especially against tanky units like MGs.

Anti-Air Tank Upgrade – Gives tanks the ability to hit air, adding high utility.

Walker Disenchant – Best counter against Banshees, making Walkers valuable in the meta.

Huntress Upgrade – Strong if Huntresses are your mid-game carries.

B-Tier (Situational but Strong in the Right Setup)

Possession – High impact if good targets are available.

Drums – Decent buff, but not as strong as Bloodlust or Frenzy.

Inner Fire – Weaker than Bloodlust or Frenzy, and Priests aren’t great units.

Defend Upgrade – Broken if the opponent plays a lot of Pierce damage.

Disease Cloud – Decent in late game but not useful in early/mid-game.

Web – Good for countering air units, but situational.

Acid Spray – Strong against buildings but very situational.

Resistance Skin – Only good against Banshees.

C-Tier (Decent but Not a Priority)

Marksmanship – Decent if playing a ranged-heavy composition.

Ghoul Frenzy – Only useful if the opponent lacks AOE damage.

GR Upgrade – Gives bonus damage to grunts, like an attack upgrade.

D Upgrade (DS Units) – Good vs. Huntresses but weak otherwise.

D-Tier (Weak or Easily Countered)

Bear Upgrades – Bears get hard-countered by Possession and Banshees.

Griffin Upgrades – Griffins are too weak, so their upgrades don’t matter.

F-Tier (Not Worth It)

Other upgrades not mentioned in the transcript are considered too weak to be relevant.
