The latest Rune Slayer Content Update brings massive changes to drop rates, new bosses, blessings, curses, and an expanded questline. With five new races, a new weapon type, and multiple balancing tweaks, players will need to adjust their strategies. This guide covers everything you need to know about the update, from acquiring legendary items to mastering faction-specific summons.

Rune Slayer Content Update – New Race, Boss, Quests & Codes

Increased Legendary Drop Rates

If you’ve struggled to get your hands on legendary items, now’s your chance! The drop rates for most legendary gear have been increased by over 4x, making them significantly easier to farm.

How to Take Advantage of the New Drop Rates:

Focus on high-level bosses and dungeons where legendary gear drops.

Use Loot Boosting abilities or gear that enhances drop chances.

Join a team or guild to farm efficiently.

New Bosses & Area: Withered Thicket

A new zone, Withered Thicket, has been introduced, bringing mysterious new bosses. While details about them are unknown, here’s what we recommend:

How to Prepare for the New Bosses:

Carry elemental weapons and spells to counter possible resistances.

Use summons that match your faction (Holy Sect or Demon Sect).

Equip high defensive gear to withstand new boss mechanics.

Summons: Blessings & Curses (Faction-Based Summons)

A major gameplay mechanic has been introduced: Summons tied to your faction.

Blessings → Summons only available to the Holy Sect

Curses → Summons only available to the Demon Sect

Elemental Fairies must be paired with the correct summon to maximize their effectiveness.

How to Use Summons Effectively:

Choose a summon that complements your combat style (offensive vs. defensive).

Equip the corresponding elemental fairy (Fire Fairy for fire-based summons, etc.).

Be aware of each summon’s drawbacks before committing to one.

New Quests & Content Additions

Two new quests have been added, along with a variety of new content.

New Items & Equipment:

  • Armor Set (Name TBD)
  • Two New Runes (Abilities unknown)
  • Rare & Epic Rings
  • Four New Legendary Rings
  • Three New Legendary Weapons
  • Two New Legendary Spells
  • One New Uncommon Spell
  • One New Blessing & One New Curse

New Fairies (Elemental Companions):

  • Wind Fairy
  • Fire Fairy
  • Water Fairy
  • Earth Fairy
  • Lightning Fairy

These fairies boost elemental abilities and should be matched with their respective summons for maximum power.

New Playable Races

This update introduces five new races, each bringing unique abilities:

  • Lesser Seraphim
  • Amphibu
  • Chiroptran
  • Ghoul
  • Bunny

Each race likely comes with unique stat boosts and abilities. If you’re looking to start fresh, experimenting with these new races could give you an edge.

New Weapon Type for Warriors

Warriors now have access to an entirely new weapon type, allowing for expanded playstyles. While details on this weapon remain unknown, we recommend:

Experimenting with different builds to see how the new weapon fits.

Testing PvE vs. PvP effectiveness to determine its strengths.

Upgrading and enchanting the weapon to maximize its damage output.

Balance Changes & Nerfs

  • Several abilities and mechanics have been reworked. Here are the most significant changes:

PvP & Combat Adjustments:

  • Holy Shield no longer affects aggressive NPCs (only tames).
  • Golden Fairy now boosts PvE Scaling & Holy Damage in PvE.
  • Hemorrhage damage nerfed (15% → 5%).
  • Most scream volumes lowered for better audio balance.

Cooldown & Damage Adjustments:

  • Greater Smite’s cooldown in PvP: 12s → 30s.
  • Smite’s cooldown in PvP: 6s → 15s.
  • Angelic Wings now has a 60s cooldown before it can be reactivated.
  • Holy Shield only shields for half of spirit in PvP.
  • Casting time now has a 25% cap, preventing infinite cast-speed stacking.
  • Elf’s Strider Cooldown Reduction reduced (10% → 5%), but its speed boost increased (3% → 5%).
  • Holy Fire is now parriable, and PvP damage lowered by 50%.
