PSA: When hosting offline you will NOT consume potions. TLDR: Buying potions to craft higher-level ones isn’t worth it.
The relation of hp/mp received (in 5 seconds) per gold used, is bigger in the first potions. So if you stay farming and need potions, just use the first ones (Minor potion).
The Major potions are worth it if a big boost of hp/mp is needed. Like Adventure, Blood Arena, or Otherworld.
Maple Tale Potion Crafting Guide

1 | 40 | 100 | 2.5 | x | x | x |
2 | 70 | 160 | 2.3 | 2 | 10 | 90 |
3 | 120 | 240 | 2.0 | 2 | 50 | 190 |
4 | 300 | 360 | 1.2 | 2 | 100 | 340 |

6 | 700 | 600 | 0.9 | 2 | 100 | 1100 |
Also remember to change in settings the potions as you need. The MP rarelly needs to be changed, keeping under 5% is fine. For HP change to 100% if you find yourself dying too much or to pass a dps wall.
To buy/change potions:
