Masks in Slayers 2 aren’t just cosmetic items. Some of them give you extra HP, Block, XP, or even special effects that can be extremely useful depending on the build you’re using.
The problem is that not every mask is designed for the same purpose. Some are better for survivability, some are useful for leveling, and others are connected to endgame equipment that we don’t have complete stats for yet.
So in this guide, I’ll rank the currently known Slayers 2 masks into tiers and explain what each one does, how you get it, and which masks are worth chasing for your Slayer or Demon build.
Slayers 2 Best Mask Tier List – All Masks Ranked
Here is my current ranking based on the confirmed bonuses and practical usefulness of each mask.
S Tier – Best Masks
Yatagarasu Mask
Best for: Leveling, farming, general progression
The Yatagarasu Mask is one of the most useful masks if you’re still progressing through Slayers 2.
It can drop from Tier 3 and Tier 5 Chests and provides:
- +5% XP
- +5% Drop Rate
- +50 HP
That’s a really useful combination.
The XP bonus helps you level faster, while the increased Drop Rate gives you a better reason to keep it equipped when you’re farming bosses, chests, or other items.
And you’re still getting 50 HP on top of those bonuses.
This makes Yatagarasu Mask more than just a leveling item. It’s also useful for players who spend a lot of time farming for rare drops.
Verdict: One of the best general-purpose masks currently known.
A Tier – Excellent Masks
Straw Hat
Best for: Demons, survivability
The Straw Hat is a particularly interesting mask because it has a special benefit for Demons.
It provides:
- +5 Block
- +50 HP
- Sunlight immunity for Demons
That last effect is the important part.
If you’re playing as a Demon, sunlight can be a major restriction. Having a mask that gives you immunity to sunlight can completely change how freely you can move around the map.
The Straw Hat has only a 1% drop chance from Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 10 Chests, so it isn’t an easy item to obtain.
For a Demon, however, that special effect can make it extremely valuable.
Verdict: Excellent Demon utility mask and a strong defensive option.
Sabito’s Mask
Best for: Early/mid-game HP
Sabito’s Mask has a 12% drop chance from Sabito and gives:
- +15 HP
It isn’t as powerful as Yatagarasu Mask or Straw Hat, but it’s relatively straightforward and provides a useful HP boost while you’re progressing.
If you defeat Sabito and get the mask early, it’s absolutely worth using until you obtain something better.
Verdict: Good progression mask, but eventually replace it.
B Tier – Situational / Potentially Strong
Polar Mask
Best for: Polar builds
The Polar Mask is part of the Polar equipment set alongside Polar Top and Polar Bottom.
The problem is that its current stats are listed as TBA.
Because we don’t have confirmed bonuses, I wouldn’t put it into S or A Tier based purely on its rarity or association with the Polar equipment.
Once its actual stats are known, this placement could change considerably.
Verdict: Potentially strong, but currently unconfirmed.
Devourer Mask
Best for: Devourer builds
The Devourer Mask is another endgame-related mask whose current stats are listed as TBA.
It’s associated with the Devourer progression, so it’s definitely something worth watching if you’re working toward a Devourer build.
However, without confirmed stats, there isn’t enough information to honestly say it’s better than the masks that already have known bonuses.
Verdict: Potentially strong, but currently impossible to rank accurately.
C Tier – Basic / Limited Information
At the moment, there aren’t many other confirmed masks with enough information to place into a lower tier.
Rather than inventing stats or pretending that an untested mask is bad, I’d leave incomplete items as TBA/Unranked until their actual effects are confirmed.
That’s especially important because Slayers 2 is still in its early public-release period and several item comparisons are incomplete. Current tier-list sources also explicitly mark some weapon and build evaluations as needing more testing.

Best Mask for Leveling
If your main goal is leveling, I’d use the Yatagarasu Mask.
The reason is simple:
+5% XP
That directly helps with progression.
You’re also getting +5% Drop Rate, which is useful because you’ll probably be farming bosses and chests while leveling anyway.
The additional 50 HP is another bonus that makes the mask useful outside of pure XP farming.
So instead of switching between a leveling mask and a farming mask, Yatagarasu Mask gives you both benefits at the same time.
Best Mask for Farming
Again, Yatagarasu Mask is one of the best choices.
The +5% Drop Rate is particularly useful if you’re farming for:
- Boss drops
- Rare accessories
- Weapons
- Chest items
- Other equipment
The extra XP is simply an added bonus.
If you’re spending hours farming content, I’d rather have a mask that improves both your progression and your chances of getting useful loot.
Best Mask for Demons
For Demons, the Straw Hat deserves special attention.
Its +50 HP and +5 Block are already useful, but the real reason to use it is:
Sunlight immunity.
That makes it completely different from something like Yatagarasu Mask.
Yatagarasu is better for farming and progression, while Straw Hat gives a Demon an important gameplay advantage.
So the answer depends on what you’re doing.
Demon farming → Yatagarasu Mask
Demon survivability/sunlight utility → Straw Hat
Best Mask for HP
If we’re looking purely at the confirmed mask bonuses we currently have, Yatagarasu Mask and Straw Hat both provide +50 HP.
That is significantly more than Sabito’s Mask, which provides +15 HP.
However, you shouldn’t look at HP alone.
Yatagarasu gives you:
- +50 HP
- +5% XP
- +5% Drop Rate
Straw Hat gives you:
- +50 HP
- +5 Block
- Demon sunlight immunity
So both are strong for completely different reasons.
Yatagarasu Mask vs Straw Hat
This is probably the most important comparison for players choosing between the two.

The choice is pretty straightforward.
If you care about XP and drops, use Yatagarasu.
If you’re a Demon or want additional Block, Straw Hat becomes much more attractive.
Best Mask for New Players
For a new player, I wouldn’t spend hours trying to get a 1% Straw Hat immediately.
If you get Sabito’s Mask, the +15 HP is perfectly useful during early progression.
Once you start getting access to higher-tier chests, begin looking for Yatagarasu Mask.
That gives you a much more useful long-term farming setup.

The exact final step depends on what you’re building.
For a Demon, Straw Hat may be the item you want to keep.
For a Polar build, you’ll want to watch the Polar Mask once its stats are confirmed.
For a Devourer build, the Devourer Mask could become important once its bonuses are known.
Should You Farm Yatagarasu Mask?
Yes, especially if you’re going to spend a lot of time farming.
The combination of XP + Drop Rate + HP makes it useful in several different parts of the game.
It’s not just a mask you’ll equip for one specific activity.
You can use it while leveling, farming bosses, opening chests, and searching for other rare equipment.
Should Demons Farm the Straw Hat?
The Straw Hat is particularly interesting for Demons because of its sunlight immunity.
If you’re playing Demon and don’t already have a good alternative, I’d definitely keep an eye out for it.
The problem is the 1% drop chance, so don’t expect to get it quickly.
If you do obtain it, however, the sunlight immunity gives it a unique purpose that the other currently confirmed masks don’t provide.
For general progression, Yatagarasu Mask is currently the easiest mask to recommend because its three bonuses work together extremely well. You get HP, additional XP, and a higher Drop Rate, making it useful for both leveling and farming.
For Demons, the Straw Hat is a completely different type of item. Its +50 HP and +5 Block are useful, but the biggest attraction is its sunlight immunity, which gives Demon players an important piece of utility.
Sabito’s Mask remains a solid early-game option, while Polar Mask and Devourer Mask should remain TBA for now because their current bonuses aren’t confirmed. The game is still new, so I’d rather leave those masks unranked than make up a ranking that could be completely wrong once their stats are revealed.
