In this guide, we’ll show you how to get Frieren in Lineage Piece and what you need to do afterward to start working on her mastery. I’ll break down all the requirements, where to find the NPCs, how to farm the materials, and what you need to do to unlock the extra move.
How to Get Frieren Sword and Mastery in Lineage Piece
To start the process, you first need to travel to the new Illusion Island.
Once you arrive, look for the Frieren NPC near the tree. This is the NPC you need to interact with to check the requirements for obtaining Frieren.
However, you won’t be able to get her immediately. You need to collect several items, meet the race requirement, and have enough coins and gems first.
Frieren Requirements
Before you can unlock Frieren, you need the following:
- 2 Great Mages Journey Books
- 5 Broken Staffs
- 20 Mana Stones
- Elf race
- 35 million Coins
- 25,000 Gems
The biggest part of the grind is collecting the required materials and having enough currency.
If you’re starting from scratch, I recommend getting the Elf race first and then focusing on farming the Frieren boss for the remaining materials.
Get the Elf Race
One of the requirements is having the Elf race.
You can get this race from the Race NPC on Lineage Island.
Make sure you take care of this requirement before returning to the Frieren NPC. There’s no point collecting all of the boss materials and then realizing you still need to change your race.
So, if you don’t already have Elf, head to Lineage Island and use the Race NPC to obtain it.
Farm the Frieren Boss
The materials you need for Frieren can be farmed from the Frieren boss on Illusion Island.
You’ll find the boss at the arena on the island.
This is where you’ll spend most of your time farming the items required for the unlock. Keep running the boss until you’ve collected the Great Mages Journey Books, Broken Staffs, and Mana Stones you need.
How to Summon Frieren on Easy Mode
If you want to use the easier version of the boss fight, you can summon Frieren on Easy Mode.
The Easy Mode summon requires:
- 1,000 Gems
- 1 Odd Tome
- 75,000 Coins
If you’re trying to farm the materials efficiently, Easy Mode can be a convenient option if you’re able to meet the summon cost.
Keep repeating the fight and checking your drops until you have all of the required items.
Collect the Great Mages Journey Books
You need 2 Great Mages Journey Books for the Frieren unlock.
These come from farming the Frieren boss, so you’ll want to keep running the boss until you have both.
Because drops can take multiple runs, don’t worry if you don’t get everything immediately. Just keep farming until you complete the requirement.
Collect the Broken Staffs
You also need 5 Broken Staffs.
Just like the other boss materials, these can be obtained by farming the Frieren boss on Illusion Island.
Keep track of your inventory while farming so you know how close you are to completing the five required staffs.
Collect Mana Stones
The final material requirement is 20 Mana Stones.
You’ll need to collect all 20 before you can complete the Frieren unlock.
At this point, the easiest approach is simply to continue farming the boss until you have all three material requirements completed.
Save Enough Coins and Gems
Besides the materials, you’ll need a large amount of currency.
Make sure you have:
- 35,000,000 Coins
- 25,000 Gems
It’s a good idea to save these ahead of time rather than spending everything while you’re farming.
The boss summon itself can also require currency and gems, so keep that in mind if you’re repeatedly using Easy Mode.
Return to the Frieren NPC
Once you’ve collected everything, head back to the Frieren NPC near the tree on Illusion Island.
Before going back, double-check that you have:
- 2 Great Mages Journey Books
- 5 Broken Staffs
- 20 Mana Stones
- Elf race
- 35 million Coins
- 25,000 Gems
If everything is ready, interact with the NPC and complete the requirements.
You’ll then be able to unlock Frieren.
How to Start Frieren Mastery
Getting Frieren is only the beginning if you want to unlock her full potential.
After obtaining her, you can start working on her mastery by finding the Siri NPC.
Siri can be found near the spawn on Illusion Island.
Talk to Siri and complete her quest to progress the mastery requirements.
Unlock the Extra Frieren Move
The main reason you’ll want to complete Siri’s quest is to unlock an additional move for Frieren.
Once you finish the required mastery quest, you’ll unlock the AMU for Frieren.
So, after getting Frieren, don’t stop there. Head back toward the spawn area, find Siri, and begin working through her quest.
Frieren Unlock and Mastery Order
If you want the simplest order to follow, here’s the entire process:
- Get the Elf race from the Race NPC on Lineage Island.
- Travel to Illusion Island.
- Find the Frieren NPC near the tree.
- Farm the Frieren boss at the arena.
- Collect 2 Great Mages Journey Books.
- Collect 5 Broken Staffs.
- Collect 20 Mana Stones.
- Save 35 million Coins.
- Save 25,000 Gems.
- Return to the Frieren NPC.
- Complete the requirements to unlock Frieren.
- Find Siri near the spawn on Illusion Island.
- Complete Siri’s quest to work on Frieren mastery.
- Unlock the AMU extra move.
The Frieren grind is fairly straightforward once you know exactly what you need.
The main things you’ll be doing are farming the Frieren boss, collecting the required materials, getting the Elf race, and saving enough Coins and Gems.
Once you finally have everything, return to the Frieren NPC and unlock her. After that, make sure you visit Siri near the spawn so you can start working on the mastery quest and unlock the additional move.
So, the basic route is simple: get Elf, farm the Frieren boss, collect the materials, save your currency, unlock Frieren, and then complete Siri’s mastery quest.
Follow those steps and you should be able to get Frieren and start working toward her mastery without having to figure everything out yourself.
