The latest update for 100 Days at Sea introduces the brand-new Chaos Master Class, giving players a highly mobile class that combines fast movement, aerial attacks, and lightning-based damage. If you enjoy jumping between islands while dealing damage to groups of enemies, this class is definitely worth checking out.
That said, it isn’t a straightforward upgrade over every existing class. It has some impressive strengths, but it also comes with a few limitations that you’ll need to learn if you want to get the most out of it.
In this guide, I’ll break down everything the Chaos Master Class offers, explain how each ability works, and share whether it’s worth using over some of the game’s other top classes.
100 Days at Sea Chaos Master Class Guide – Abilities, Unlock
The Chaos Master Class is available through the Class Reroll system.
If you don’t already own it, you’ll need to keep rerolling your class until you unlock it.
The update also added a new redeem code:
Code: CHAOS
Redeeming this code rewards you with 20 Pearls, giving you a few extra resources to spend in-game.
Chaos Master Class Perks
The Chaos Master comes with four main abilities and passive perks:
- Chaos Lightning
- Saber Weapon
- Sprint Speed Boost
- Super Jump
Together, these abilities focus on mobility and close-range combat rather than long-range attacks.
Chaos Lightning Ability
One of the strongest parts of the class is the Chaos Lightning skill.
After activating the ability, lightning automatically strikes nearby enemies, damaging multiple targets at once.
Why it’s useful
- Hits several nearby enemies.
- Great for clearing groups.
- Doesn’t require precise aiming.
- Strong during crowded fights.
The overall damage is comparable to the Squid Gun ability from the Squid Class, making it one of the Chaos Master’s strongest offensive tools.
Super Jump
The signature ability of the Chaos Master Class is its Super Jump.
Holding the jump button charges a massive leap that launches your character high into the air.
This has several uses:
- Quickly travelling between islands.
- Escaping dangerous enemies.
- Reaching elevated locations.
- Starting aerial attacks.
Compared to simply swimming everywhere, travelling becomes much faster once you get comfortable using the Super Jump.
Impact Damage
Super Jump isn’t only useful for movement.
After landing, your character deals impact damage to nearby enemies.
During testing, the landing attack removed roughly half of an enemy’s health, making it an excellent way to begin fights.
Instead of jumping away from combat, you can actually use the ability offensively by landing directly on enemy groups.
Saber Weapon
Every Chaos Master also receives a unique Saber.
The weapon has its own animations and provides solid close-range damage.
While the Saber performs well, it doesn’t completely outperform other late-game weapons.
Compared to the Alien Overlord class weapon, the Saber deals similar damage but requires you to fight much closer to enemies.
Because of this, players who prefer ranged combat may still favour the Alien Overlord.
Sprint Speed Boost
The Chaos Master naturally moves faster than most classes thanks to its Sprint Speed bonus.
This makes exploration feel much smoother, especially when travelling around islands without constantly relying on boats.
Although it isn’t the flashiest perk, you’ll notice the difference during longer play sessions.
Can You Use Super Jump in Water?
Unfortunately, no.
This is probably the class’s biggest weakness.
Once you’re swimming, you cannot activate Super Jump.
That means if you accidentally fall into deep water, you’ll have to swim to the nearest island before using your mobility abilities again.
It’s something to keep in mind whenever you’re attempting long jumps between islands.
Double Jump Works Together with Super Jump
One nice movement trick is combining the Super Jump with your normal jump.
After launching yourself into the air, pressing the jump button again gives you a small extra boost.
It isn’t a huge increase, but it can help you:
- Reach slightly farther islands.
- Correct your landing.
- Avoid falling into the water.
Mastering this timing makes travelling much more consistent.
Best Ways to Use the Chaos Master
The class performs best when you combine all of its abilities together.
A typical fight looks something like this:
- Charge a Super Jump.
- Land directly on enemies for impact damage.
- Activate Chaos Lightning.
- Finish survivors using the Saber.
This combo lets you deal heavy burst damage while staying highly mobile.
Chaos Master Strengths
The class has plenty of advantages.
Excellent Mobility
Few classes move around the map as quickly.
Jumping between nearby islands feels smooth and satisfying once you learn the timing.
Strong Area Damage
Chaos Lightning automatically damages nearby enemies, making it excellent against groups.
Great for Exploration
The combination of Sprint Speed and Super Jump allows you to travel much faster than many other classes.
Fun Playstyle
The class feels very active compared to more traditional combat classes.
Chaos Master Weaknesses
Despite its strengths, there are a few downsides.
Can’t Super Jump from Water
Falling into the ocean interrupts your mobility completely.
Requires Charging
Unlike instant movement abilities, every Super Jump needs to be charged first.
Close-Range Combat
The Saber requires you to stay near enemies, making combat riskier than ranged classes.
Chaos Master vs Alien Overlord
Many players will naturally compare the Chaos Master with the popular Alien Overlord class.
Here’s a quick comparison.
| Chaos Master | Alien Overlord |
|---|---|
| Excellent mobility | Easier overall movement |
| Powerful lightning ability | Strong ranged weapon |
| Close-range Saber | Long-range attacks |
| Requires charging jumps | Instant vehicle travel |
| Better for aggressive players | Better for relaxed exploration |
If you enjoy fast-paced gameplay and constantly moving around the battlefield, Chaos Master is a fantastic choice.
If you prefer convenience and ranged combat, Alien Overlord is still slightly easier to use.
The Chaos Master isn’t necessarily the strongest class in every situation, but it’s certainly one of the most unique. Its focus on mobility allows you to move between islands quickly, while Chaos Lightning and impact damage make clearing enemy groups surprisingly effective.
If you already enjoy classes that reward movement and aggressive play, Chaos Master is well worth unlocking. Players who prefer simple ranged combat may still lean towards Alien Overlord, but for anyone looking to try something fresh, the Chaos Master brings a fun new way to experience 100 Days at Sea.
