Equipment is one of the biggest progression systems in Anime Expeditions. Equipping the right gear can significantly increase a unit’s damage, range, utility, or crowd control, making difficult Story, Raid, and Challenge stages much easier.
There are two equipment categories:
- Unit-Specific Equipment – Exclusive gear designed for a particular unit.
- Standard Equipment – Generic equipment that can be equipped by any unit.
Here’s everything you need to know.
How Equipment Works
Equipment provides additional stats and, in many cases, powerful passive abilities.
Most equipment grants bonuses such as:
- Damage
- Range
- SPA Reduction
- Critical Chance
- Critical Damage
- Physical Damage
- Magical Damage
Many Unit-Specific Equipment pieces also unlock unique passives that cannot be obtained anywhere else.
Equipment Types
Unit-Specific Equipment
Unit-Specific Equipment only works on its designated character.
Requirements:
- Own the required unit.
- Many require the Evolved version before they can be equipped.
These pieces usually provide stronger bonuses than Standard Equipment because they add exclusive passive abilities.
Standard Equipment
Standard Equipment can be equipped by any unit.
Although they don’t include exclusive character passives, they’re excellent for:
- Early-game progression
- Filling empty equipment slots
- Increasing damage before obtaining exclusive gear

How to Get Equipment
Equipment is primarily obtained through Mastery rewards.
Current equipment sources include:
- School Grounds
- King’s Tomb
- Fairy King Forest
- Rose Kingdom
- Flower Forest
- Spirit City Raid Act 1
Most exclusive equipment has:
- 5% drop chance
- 20 pity guarantee
If luck isn’t on your side, many can also be crafted at the Armory Forge inside the Expedition Hub.
How to Craft Equipment
Many exclusive equipment pieces can be crafted at the Armory Forge.
Crafting is useful if:
- You already have the required materials.
- You don’t want to rely entirely on Mastery drops.
- You’re targeting one specific piece of equipment.
How to Reroll Equipment Stats
After obtaining equipment, you can reroll its bonus stats to improve them.
You’ll need Equipment Reroll items.
They can be obtained from:
- Challenge rewards
- Gold Shop
Gold Shop price:
- 2,500 Gold per reroll item.
How Equipment Locks Work
Equipment Locks allow you to protect one good stat while rerolling the remaining stats.
For example:
- Lock a perfect Damage roll.
- Continue rerolling Range or SBA until you get better values.
This saves valuable reroll materials and makes perfect equipment much easier to obtain.
Best Equipment Progression
Early Game
Use Standard Equipment because it fits every unit and provides quick stat boosts.
Mid Game
Start farming Mastery stages to unlock exclusive equipment for your strongest evolved units.
Late Game
Focus on:
- Farming 20-pity Mastery rewards.
- Crafting missing exclusive equipment.
- Rerolling stats until you get near-perfect bonuses.
- Using Equipment Locks to preserve high-value rolls.
Exclusive equipment with optimized stats provides one of the largest power increases in Anime Expeditions, making it essential for clearing endgame Raids, Challenges, and high-difficulty content.
