The latest Lineage Piece update introduces one of the most anticipated weapons in the game: Kokushibo. Alongside a new game mode, additional ranks, and other content, Kokushibo is easily the headline feature of the update thanks to its powerful moveset, impressive visual effects, and high damage output.
Getting the weapon isn’t as simple as purchasing it from an NPC, however. You’ll need to unlock the new Demon Race, farm several rare materials, defeat a challenging boss multiple times, and complete an extensive mastery questline before unlocking its full potential.
Here’s everything you need to know.
How to Get Kokushibo in Lineage Piece
The Kokushibo NPC can be found in Jungle Island.
Before you can obtain the weapon, you’ll need to complete several requirements, including unlocking the newly added Demon Race and collecting materials dropped by the Kokushibo Boss.
The process can be broken into four major steps:
- Unlock the Demon Race.
- Obtain Demon Souls.
- Farm the Kokushibo Boss.
- Turn in the required materials at the Jungle Island NPC.
The biggest grind comes from farming the boss and gathering Demon Souls, so expect to spend some time preparing.
How to Unlock the Demon Race
The first requirement is obtaining the new Demon Race.
To do this, travel to Fossil Island and locate the NPC called Man.
He will ask for:
- 10 Blue Spider Lilies
After turning in the flowers, you’ll receive the Demon Race and gain access to the Kokushibo progression path.
Blue Spider Lily Locations
Blue Spider Lilies only spawn during the nighttime cycle.
While exploring the world after sunset, keep an eye on the known flower spawn points. Because the flowers only appear at night, farming them can take some patience, especially on crowded servers where other players are collecting them as well.
Once you’ve gathered all 10 flowers, return to the Man NPC on Fossil Island to claim the race.
How to Get Demon Souls
After unlocking the Demon Race, you’ll need Demon Souls to summon the Kokushibo Boss.
Demon Souls are obtained from Mutated Mobs.
At night, normal enemies have a chance to transform into stronger mutated versions. Defeating these mutated enemies gives you a chance to obtain a Demon Soul.
Because the mutation chance is random, the most efficient strategy is simply farming large groups of enemies during nighttime and server hopping when necessary.
How to Spawn the Kokushibo Boss
Once you’ve obtained a Demon Soul, head to the Legends Arena.
Use the Demon Soul to summon the Kokushibo Boss.
This boss is the primary source of the materials needed to unlock the weapon and complete its progression path.
Since multiple items are required, you’ll likely need several boss kills before obtaining everything you need.
If you’re farming solo, bringing your strongest build is highly recommended, as the boss has significant health and damage output.
Kokushibo Boss Rewards
The Kokushibo Boss drops the materials required by the Kokushibo NPC on Jungle Island.
These drops are necessary for unlocking the weapon, so you’ll want to repeatedly farm the encounter until you’ve collected everything needed.
Many players are expected to spend most of their update grind here since both the weapon and mastery quests require additional boss kills later on.
Kokushibo Mastery Questline
After obtaining Kokushibo, you’ll unlock its mastery progression.
The Mastery NPC can be found in Deep Root Jungle.
Completing all mastery quests unlocks the weapon’s final ability.
Quest 1: Deal 2 Billion Damage
Your first objective is straightforward but time-consuming.
Requirements:
- Deal 2,000,000,000 total damage using Kokushibo.
This can be completed through normal grinding, boss farming, or endgame content.
Quest 2: Defeat 250 Mobs at Night
Requirements:
- Kill 250 enemies during nighttime.
This quest encourages players to remain active during the night cycle while progressing other objectives.
Quest 3: Defeat 50 Bosses at Night
Requirements:
- Kill 50 bosses during nighttime.
This is where the grind begins to ramp up significantly.
If possible, combine this objective with your Kokushibo Boss farming runs to save time.
Quest 4: Defeat Kokushibo 25 Times
Requirements:
- Defeat the Kokushibo Boss 25 times.
- Must be completed on Hard or Extreme difficulty.
- Must be done during nighttime.
This is by far the most demanding mastery challenge.
A strong party can dramatically reduce the amount of time needed, especially when farming the Extreme version repeatedly.
Kokushibo Mastery Reward
After finishing all mastery objectives, you’ll unlock the weapon’s exclusive R Move.
This final ability significantly improves the weapon’s overall performance and completes the Kokushibo moveset.
For players planning to main the weapon, finishing the mastery quests is highly recommended.
Kokushibo Showcase and Damage
Based on early testing, Kokushibo delivers some of the highest damage numbers currently available in Lineage Piece.
The weapon features:
- Fast attacks
- Large area-of-effect skills
- Strong combo potential
- Excellent burst damage
- High boss-farming efficiency
Its visual effects are among the better ones released recently, with moon-themed attacks and flashy animations that fit the character perfectly.
The only area where some players may feel slightly disappointed is the ultimate cutscene animation, which isn’t quite as impressive as some of the recent top-tier weapons. However, the overall moveset easily makes up for that with its damage output and fluid combat style.
